Hex describing a plus sized figure like Lizzo's in such a positive way with words like romantic and soft made me really really happy.
The fact that Hex didn't just settle for a curvy barbie and actually went the extra mile to sculpt the doll according to Lizzo's body was so refreshing to see! As always Hex slayed another custom doll repaint
Only part I wish he didnt do is sand it because it reminded me of cellulite with is natural for us bigger people. But either way it an amazing doll

Thank you so much for not trying to "skinny" her up. So many artists try to slim down bigger folks, and I know they probably mean well, but I think it's counterproductive. Lizzo is beautiful as-is; changing her undermines everything she and her fans are about. I LOVE that you gave her realistic rolls. It's such a gorgeous sculpt and I'm obsessed.

I cannot get over how much this looks like a real human body. Hextian really did capture the essence of a marble masterwork statue here. Absolute showstopper
As someone who has a body type similar to Lizzos this made me smile and made me so confident, there are many times where I donât feel beautiful because of my curves that are âin the wrong placeâ and my big tummy, but you made me really see that my own body is beautiful, thank you hextian for helping me get more comfortable in my own skin â€ïž

I'm so grateful that a lot of your fans are artists themselves or observant enough to notice the incredible amount of talent it takes to create a doll like this, atypical anatomy, realistic weight of skin/ drapings/ hair, color matching, fine motor skills for all the details, you truly are a master of many skills, it's beautiful to read all your commenters!
As a plus size woman, seeing a body like mine sculped so lovingly and reverently was wonderful beyond words. This is so rare in our culture. I love every bit of this project.
I wish dolls like this were a thing when I was little. Every doll I had, had the same body nothing was unique. Same skinny waist, legs, arms, and stomach. Seeing dolls like this with actual human body proportions is amazing. It's sad how some companies that make dolls do not want to acknowledge the other body types out there.
They have made some improvements by broadening their spectrum(not quite enough in my opinion) but I wish that they had done it sooner cause I was really insecure when I was young because my barbies looked one way and I was a chubby kid that was bullied. I think that it would have helped me alot when I was younger. But honestly the fact that they are trying is better than nothing.

Seeing Hextian do a Lizzo doll, making it realistic as possible, made me smile alot. For someone who struggles with body image even post surgery (long story short: giant cyst and cancer), seeing this made me feel beautiful.

My mom is also a black plus sized woman and honestly this is probably one of my favorite dolls ever. My whole life I have heard people fatshame my mom behind her back, and while I would never tell her, I always wished she was there to defend herself. A little fact about Hercules, his actual Greek name was Heracles in honor of Hera. Hera was not actually Heracles mother but a mortal woman. The labors he performed in the movie were based off the 12 labors he committed in the actual mythology. Also, Hera hated his guts đș. This is such a stunning doll! Amazing job â€ïž

As someone who's always adored dolls and has always had severe self esteem issues, I can't even imagine how much I'd appreciate someone sculpting my body into a doll...
Its also really freeing doing it yourself too, to be honest!! I sculpted my torso a couple years ago and it was so nice, so fun and it made me really happy.
i have a very similar body to Lizzoâs so, as a lot of other people, i felt a little emotional watching this. thatâs a real body! with real rolls and texture!! and itâs really really beautiful đđ
