Reminds me of a Disco by the name of Intercity in Kategi Lela on 30/11/1993. It rained heavily on that night which spoiled the party. Due to persistent rain, the Djs decided not crunk up the volume to the maximum.

Also in this medley were Nene Chakou, Shamba Kahamba, on bass guitar, Pompon Kuleta on vocals
From my knowledge, Tchakou mainly played rhythm. Huit Kilos and Diblo mostly played lead.
There are some where Chakou was on solo
My first soukous record once I decided to move to Kinshasa for a couple of years and decided that I'd benefit from knowing the music. I've gone far beyond just this record, but still love it greatly. Hard to find much info about Pompon Kuleta--he's not well known in the Congo it seems. Anyone have some basic bio info about him? My Kenyan friends do know of him.
Pompon Kuleta was a vocalist for Tabu Ley's band in the 80's. He sadly passed away in the mid 1990s.
