Bloodborne - Gehrman Boss Fight (Music Turned Up)

- I know this is a music channel, but I wanted to share this boss fight with friends. HOWEVER, I think Gehrman, The First Hunter's boss music is the best out of any FromSoft game, and I dare say possibly any game. I managed to time the vocals to the music perfectly for Gehrman powering up. It was also a really close call down to one hit left on each of us.

Damn. And the fight sequence that follows is just straight-up gorgeous. Such intensity and weight. Each sword-swing has the potential to be the last. Love it.

thats not his transformation. here he's using his energy to influence the hunters dream to create an explosion around him, the move is called end of the nightmare, the transformation was as soon as he hit 50% and the aura around him appeared

@@A_Davinus but it happens as a third phase to the fight, he only performs that explosion when he's left with one third of his health, after doing that he can use his Scythe Windstorm.
The ending was so close and thrilling, both you and him being low enough on health to die after 1 more strike, and attacking and dodging each other over and over. One might call this a battle among equals, with one only being the winner because there had to be a winner.

even though it’s your choice to put any weapon but it’s pretty cool to think about it

I've somehow never died to Gehrman in all three of my runs, but I think he's a phenomenal boss. I love that his HP pool is decently low for a final boss, but he has the ability to dodge just like you. That's very difficult to implement nicely into a game without making it feel like bullshit, but this fight works really well.
The best fight to me, well made and designed!

It is Hunter v Hunter, he can parry and dodge like you so if his health was higher you’d be fucked plus they considered the second secret boss so you would have to fight two big bosses back to back
This should have been a permadeath boss fight. You die, and then the cutscene of you waking up in Yharnam. It would help emphasize the sacrifice Gehrman is going through to save you.
He's one of the best bosses to fight against imo, doing this would make fighting him really bothersome as I would need to complete the game again just to have 1 chance to fight him.
In thst case it whould be not a perfecr fight just a pain in the ass

I was honestly thinking of that but no, it just wouldn't work. People would get frustrated by it and especially me. Even when you're at ng+8 where he can easily one shot you with many of his moves.
For a game mostly about learning from your mistakes. That would ruin it
Two Hunters who care for one another, fighting to save the other from eternal damnation to the Hunter’s Dream . Just that thought alone makes me believe Bloodborne has a more meaningful connection between the New Hunter and Gehrman than The Ashen One and the Firekeeper from the Dark Souls franchise .
You are right, i personally find Bloodborne's story way cooler than the story of Dark Souls even though it's still cool.

@@Bloodhurl67 he lost his leg because during the first hunts it was believed that the beast blood would creep up the right leg. So I guess he choped it off. But that didn't stop him from being a total badass.

Just amaizing...one of the most epic fights in a game,the scenario is beautiful with an outstanding music to top it up.Need to metion min 4:30 when he got into his last phase and the music peak moment comes in,it was sync just perfect...also great end fighting for the last hit both.Great video

The first hunter and last hunter both partaking in a battle that inevitably ends in one of them being set free and the other to remain in the dream forever. Truly the most epic battle in all of gaming history.

Gehrman fight may not be the hardest of the game, but no doubt it's the most beautiful. The lore of Gehrman, the place for the fight, the music, the symbolism and the meaning behind all of that makes this battle a poem. Once you know what the lyrics of this song say, you understand better what this battle is about and it gets really emotional.
Brother, those last minutes of the fight were a thing of beauty.

Everytime he killed me i get emotional because of this song
i feel like your obligated to use the blades of mercy in this fight due to the burial blade also being a siderite weapon and the blades of mercy being used to give emrcy to hunters
I love the sound of his scythe when he swings it
So much cooler than 'watch me delete Gherman in 2 minutes.' I imagine a FS team member slaving away at this and the mental projection they have of this encounter looking similar. Hope one saw this and smiled.

Its essentially the carthus milkring for bloodborne...it makes you phase between the world of the normal and the dream, at least thats how I see it

Any boss fight wherein your enemy is also a hunter is always so fun. Since it seems more fair and it doesn't give me that sense of "how the fuck am I supposed to win this" feeling I get from other bosses.

Gehrman reminds me of Yoda he's a kind of weird teacher but also a very smart one and both walk slow as hell but are fast as shit when they attack.

Way cooler than Soul of Cinder, the story, the music, the arena, the atmosphere, the character, it's perfect.

Whoa, this guy has like 50 endurance and 25 vitality
Can gehrman's gun shoot two types of bullets? Sometimes it's like a shotgun, sometimes it's like a rifle, or were my eyes just deceiving me
Four months old, but yeah, he changes the bullet for an insta-parry, other than that his bullets hit so normally. (My english is bad, i knew).
He uses the bonemarrow ash and turns it into a slug shot i guess, pretty cool

I chipped away his health with extended hunter's axe and burned him with the upgraded flame thrower. It took me 5 attempts to beat him.

Lol, I found myself doing that subconsciously. This is the first time hearing the theme in --game played that long. IMO the ost doesn't loop as well as others and that made it more apparent
