Good, thought provoking stuff again Max, and some gorgeous music as usual. Personally, I find the profusion of loops associated with this style of looping to be a bit of a mental overload for the style of song I do. The great thing is, the app accommodates pretty much any style of looping you fancy.

Chocolate M-WAVE / Xsonic Airstep / Hotone Audio Ampero Control / Blackstar Live Logic - Cheap and relatively small. But loud clicks
Boss FS-1-WL - Small and noiseless
Keith McMillen SoftStep / Keith McMillen SoftStep 2 - A lot of footswitches, noiseless and compact
I haven't had a chance to use all of them. So, it's just my opinion. I use MorningStar MC8 and love it. But the internal guitar mic picks up the sound of footswitches. It's ok when I am on stage, but it could be annoying in the studio

You're welcome! I use HX stomp and a simple external footswitch :) It could work as MIDI controller
Max, I've discovered your channel and I got more exited about using Loopy Pro as my main tool to live looping. This video got me really intersted, because is exactly what I want to do: simple looping with different controlable layers. What brings me to my question: what is this small pedal your using? I supose it can send midi signal do Loopy Pro. Is it really necessary, or can I use something like an Ampero Switch with TRS cable to control? Thank you, you've been helping me a lot!
For that video I was using a simple footswitch like Ampero Switch with TRS cable connected to HX Stomp. Unfortunately, you can not use that type of footswitch on its own. It has to be plugged in some device that convert the signal to MIDI command. In my case, it was a HX Stomp. Here the list of my recommendations www.loopymax.com/setup
Very cool. The bar template reminds me of my Headrush Looperboard. Now, how do you stop and restart individual or groups of loops (such as all the percussive elements) during performance?
You can do it with the touchscreen on iPad or iPhone

Hey! For this template, you need only 1 pedal. So, go to sandwich menu (top right corner) > MIDI learn > press 👟 button on screen > You should see "Listening for events" message > Tap your footswitch (Loopy Pro should detect MIDI messsage). And that's it

This is a great video and an awesome template to share. Thank you so much. I have added an undo function to a third pedal button. Is it possible to guide me to how to select the previous track when I press undo? It works to undo, but moves to the next track. Lots to learn with this app!

1 Create a custom button
2 Add action UNDO to it
2 Copy the action from the PEDAL 👟 button, paste it to your new custom button, and change that action to "Select Previous clip"

I use as an audio interface:
- Line6 HX Stomp
- Zoom UAC2
- Zoom H5 and Zoom H6
@@max_yar_guitar Thanks Max. Very helpful. I’ll check that link out. I have an old UAD audio interface but although it’s really stable, it’s Mac only.
As far as I know, UAD doesn't work with iOS
How would I use it live? If I’m recording on the loopy pro how do I get the sound to come out of my PA?

Just one question: being already registered, pushing on the Download my template for Loopy Pro doesn’t allow me to download the template. It asks me to enter the email and name and once done, the message “already subscribed to list LoopyMax. Click here to update your profile” is displayed. Even updating profile doesn’t change anything. And in your site there is no way to login with the existing profile. How can I get the template?

The Loopy Pro developer is working on a macOS version. But for now yes, iOS/iPadOS only.
@ChrisTidestrom I meant that they haven't made an android or Windows compatible version. For bigger market share on android in Europe. 30/70 split where it's basically the opposite 60/40 in the US.
@@geetarwanabe it's tricky, the developer is a one person operation with a family, michael's always working! it's such a brilliant app (I don't work for them btw) might even be worth grabbing a cheap used iPad to use as your standalone looper
