Do you have a favorite type of flower to photograph?

Gardenias and camellias. Occasionally roses, but this sub-genre is overdone.

B&H Photo Video - so many. Sweet Pea for perfume and nostalgia. Cosmos for their innocence, but for photography I love doing a series on tulips over a few weeks, from vase to compost heap

No favorite, I just love colors and discovering new flowers. I would love to see some time lapse videos of her working in photoshop. I have lots of photos I took at botanical gardens in Shanghai, Portland and Singapore & couldn't move distracting elements etc. Would love to learn how to make those images exquisite.

Learned some new ways of looking at flower photography. I haven't worked with diffusers and reflecters and honestly they make me nervous, but I like the idea of using textures. I have some actionable things I can do around the neighborhood to practice.

These kind of videos are wery nice. B&H is one of the top channels, if you would ask me, when it comes to giving information on photography in general. I'm trying myself btw. Thank you sharing this informative video.

Super video. Thank you for sharing. By the way I am a member of Old Westbury Gardens. It was one special place.

6:54 Just be aware that you have a typo on your screen there, it says «AFS-C» sensor, but it should be «APS-C». 🤗

@@JackieKramer hi Jackie, thanks for the lecture. I use the canon 180mm as well. Nowadays have you moved to a different lens choice for your flowers? Just curious what you are using these days. Also, for the diffuser, do you use it in early morning also or mostly just in harsh sun conditions? I have never used one before and am deciding maybe to try. I’m mostly a bird and macro insect photographer, but would love to focus on flowers some more. Thank you!

Looks like most of your crops are golden rectangle. I like it. Is it just your preference?

I usually don't use any of the crop guides to be honest. I typically eye it...
