I had the same conversation with my mom (minus the Mjadra), multiple times... eventually she realized how shitty he is and moved on... early on, she kept regressing every time she talks to her friends who are still living in this old dilemma.
The problem is not in our terrible politicians/war lords, the problem is embedded in the people... and not sure if this will ever change :(
The problem is in naïve people like you who are shallow and do not study or read enough about the history of the problems that we face. Enough blaming the people who are the victims and who are seriously trying to help.

And to be clear and that was implied in my initial comment, the people I am referring to are the sheep and the loud who blindly follow those warlords.
There are many of who tried to change the status quo but were faced with those people who kept pulling them down and eventually decided to leave the country... And there are many who either still fighting for a change or unfortunate and don't have the opportunity to leave.
Anyhow, not going to debate the obvious, those in power are power hungry and their actions throughout the years are the perfect example, so I can't blame them because doing so means I am considering them human....I can't blame the mountains and the sea, so yes if people don't change nothing will change.

Then become aware who has monopoly over the fuel in Lebanon and who is the big zaeem who fought all what Gebran Basil did when he was minister of energy .. same applies to the rest of the necessary commodities in the country, that people like you and me( the helpless and simple and poor) need to survive.
That is a start to be enlightened. Blaming is easy, and it is easier and fruitless when the wrong people are blamed.

جلب جبران باسيل الكهرباء لكن المعارضة في مجلس الوزراء لم تصوت لها. والشيء نفسه يحدث حتى الآن: هم (السعوديون والأمريكيون وأمراء الحرب المحليون) لا يريدون الإصلاح ، اذهب للتحقق من الذي يحتكر الوقود في البلاد ، والقمح ، وكل ما تبقى من السلع الضرورية. كانت المشكلة ولا تزال ، تلك الخمس عشرة أسرة أو نحو ذلك التي تتحكم في اقتصاد لبنان .. دعونا لا نستمر في إلقاء اللوم على الأشخاص الخطأ
