Just bought a Camry se 8-31 2024. w/ front accent light, moonroof, 12 inch display upgrade for 35,105 msrp no markup. 38974 check signed. I did a 25mile trip from work to home in LA traffic going bumper to bumper mostly under eco level on the guage. When I parked in my garage, it read this trip avg was 57mpg. Crazy! And now I have 400 miles on the odometer and the avg mpg for that is 49mpg! I has a refined sturdy feel as you drive. It has some umpf to the acceleration when I need it too.

Seems like a great urban commuter car especially if you have to do a lot of miles. I understand why they build them with the CVT but wish they could make it with a conventional transmission.

I am going to go order my new Camry next week. I had planned on getting an XSE. All-wheel-drive as I live in the north east. However, I am concerned about 19 inch low profile tires in our area with potholes and with winter regardless of all-wheel-drive.
So even though it has less features, I think the SE looks a lot sportier than the SE And will be looking at the vehicle similar to the one featured in this video minus the extra wheels..

Great review Anthony. That mileage is amazing and that would be a great commuter car for sure. I still can't stand the whale shark mouth grill design that Toyota and Lexus have put on so many models. Only 106 here today but humid and I did have to go out but my ride kept me nice and cool. The forecast is for 80s by the weekend and rain the beginning of next week which will be nice since the last time it rained was April I think. Hope all is well for you Anthony and happy Wednesday.

It’s definitely a great commuter and I agree the style is unique 😁. That is hot hopefully it stays cooler for you. On this side it rained early make it hot in the high 90 but rain for the next couple days should help cool us down.
Going to Honda tomorrow so I’m hoping they have the new Civic Hybrid. Happy Wednesday James

Having a tough time getting used to the regen brakes, spongy and a disconnect feeling. Any tips ???

@@MrPetrello you can do a couple things
Avoid hard braking, try braking a little earlier. Do not pump the brakes at stop lights. Brake while costing and see if it gets tighter when going over a few thousand miles.
If non of this works take it to the dealership to make sure everything is working correctly.

Get used to coasting up to lights and such so you can feel the regenerative braking. This allows you to apply less breaking when actually stopping. I just went over 2000 miles in three months and I'm fairly used to them now. I never drove a hybrid or EV before so it feels strange at first.

I like the underground color Anthony. What is your favorite color?

The underground Jeffrey specially with these wheels it makes the new Camry look sporty and a touch of luxury styling.

I have issues with the car. First that paint. Might as well be black. Shows dust like the glossy black interior. The air vents have limited directionalmobility. Getting air to you face requires one to lean left or right. Finally almost every car shown has had Continental pro contact tires mounted. The cars on the lots around here have Hankook tires on them. Otherwise it's a good car. I managed to get a 10% discount on a inflated MSRP with no dealer shenanigans. I changed my oil at 1500 miles despite the advice of the highly skilled & motivated service department staff. Guess I run the risk of clean oil. Not sure how much damage it could cause. Not sure what they are going to do when I show up every 5000 or until the oil is available elsewhere. Don't get me started on the oil...
