TO CLEAR THINGS UP: I wanted to surprised my boyfriend (now husband) by flying across the country to see him, so with the help of his buddy Josh we orchestrated a plan. I told him I was going camping with my dad and wasn’t going to have service, my dad took me to the airport and I took a selfie with him and everything to be convincing. From then on I turned off my location and went on my flights. On his end, Josh told him that his dad was going to come into town, and asked my husband to make the hour and a half drive to the airport to pick him up. My flight didn’t come in until midnight so Josh and him went to dinner and Josh got him to drink a little so he would really not suspect a single thing. Eventually I landed and Josh and him were at the airport waiting for Josh’s dads arrival. Josh placed my husband and told him that he needed to go to the bathroom, but actually he grabbed me and took my luggage and I gave him my phone so he could record his reaction. He truly was in a state of shock. He was looking at my pictures on instagram, I saw them as I walked up, and then saw someone sit next to him, he then swiped away and set his phone down to be respectful to acknowledge who it was. I absolutely know what it looks like but it truly took him a second to realize it was me and the alcohol definitely didn’t help. Just to note Josh did not drink so he was safe to drive. Again, I understand the body language comments but he truly thought I was another girl who was gonna hit in him or something. He told me he thought he was dreaming so that’s why he wiped his eyes! His friend Josh said sorry because he felt bad for lying to him this whole time. No shade, no tea, just a man who couldn’t believe his girl, was in front of him! I was happy with his reaction, as you can tell it was truly genuine. I understand this is what happens when you put stuff online but understand this is a couple second video of two random people you don’t know. Kindness goes farther ❤

I think he was probably in the middle of texting his girlfriend when she walked up. That reaction was one of complete shock. It’s like he had to wait a second to make sure he was just seeing or imagining her being there. He was definitely hiding the phone, and for one moment, as he leaned back, thought he had been caught, and then looked at her and then the guy filming, like, "Dude, seriously you are doing this to me?" until she smiled....then he relaxed and hugged her out of sheer and total relief. The other guy said, "Sorry," before that moment, because he realized he'd put the other guy in a sticky situation."
