    Your videos, presentation and attention to detail are superb. So pleased I found you on CZcams as you gave me the final 'nudge' I needed to decide to buy a GSA. Already specked out, placing the order in the New Year for a March delivery. Intend to do my own 1st Service and then first tour to family in Lisbon in April. Please keep up with the videos and commentary - so good. 👍👍

    I've just followed your instructions and I've successfully installed my bar riser. It would be just worth mentioning that if you drop your handlebar too low, it will hit a tank when you take a sharp turn. Cables may also be stretched too much. It happened to me and I had to raise a handlebar a bit. Also, I used only 45 torx bit, You mentioned number 40 was needed as well but all screws are rather 45? Best, M

    Hi
    Really good informative and precise fitting video which shows you all you need to know to make the job easy.
    Please be aware though if you are using a tank bag along with a quad lock you may well have issues when turning the handle bars to full lock eg not enough clearance, and also if you have replaced your oem screen you could be restricted to how much you can move it up and down on full lock

    I'm suprised NM sending you bar risers for free to review given they aren't exactly a new product, for what it's worth the Ebay ones at a third of the price do exactly the same job.😎

    Nice install...why did you feel risers were necessary. I like the idea of torquing to company specs. I want to buy a smaller torque wrench and wondering what one you are using. Thanks again for all the great videos & content.

      Thanks. Nippy Normans just wanted me to do an install video and this will end up(I suspect) on their site, so they sent me them FOC. I would consider using risers if I were going to do some off road stuff as the standard bars for me, bring me too far over the front of the bike making it uncomfortable . The standard bar set up is great for me as I do road riding mostly. I am Mr Average size but taller riders etc may need risers. I will try the risers on and off the road in the next few weeks and see what I think overall and whether I go back to standard config. 🤪

    Is there any benefit to comfort with bar risers when rising road?

      @gsd32i  Před rokem +1

      Great question. I took out a GSA a few days ago and that had bar risers on and was really comfy for me at 5'9". I have had bar risers on that raise and bring the bars closers to you and I didn't find them better than without and the bike felt too different to me BUT the straight forward bar risers were brilliant and I may get some later. I guess if a friend has a bike with them fitted give them a go. Trial and error kind of .

    I have mounted the risers accordingly and found that the cables on the left hand side are too short. I wrote Wunderlich and they replied that they will look into it but not any time soon. I am surprised that it works on your GS, is it a 2022 GS?

      Hi Jorgen, yes I have the 2022 gs and the risers are fine, although on full lock the clutch cable is just starting to take up the slack, but doesn't cause me an issue. Possibly try rotating the whole switch gear/clutch unit around a bit ?
