Thanks for watching and comment. We have to mention that, this video is just explained keywords theory, which is not the complete idea of the Mantis KungFu, The Praying Mantis Boxing was created a kind of complete style KungFu for the real situation.
The founders of Northern Praying Mantis Inspired by the fighting movements of the mantis, came to develop 12 keywords theory , and merged the boxing skills of the 17 schools previously learnt by him , 8 kinds of major footwork of apes(monkeys) into the techniques, also summarizing the techniques of seven long-range and eight short-range, including eight “strong” techniques and twelve “soft “ techniques, as well as ight weakness points of human body which can be strike and what are the eight weakness points can not be strike. Finally, the style was very complete with advancing as well as retreating-evading techniques, such as dodge, earn, jump and change the situation, and thus created the Praying- Mantis KungFu preliminarily.

這係對傳統拳擊嘅各種類型（螳螂）技術嘅演示同解釋。 在實戰或拳擊比賽中，情況不會如此，但技術元素仍然適用。 戰鬥唔係練習固定序列嘅固定模式。 速度，力量，閱讀對手嘅動作(擂臺經驗)，以及規則都需要考慮在內。 但是，憑藉訓練有素的技術，再加上速度和力量，絕對比打王八拳優越。

Very good video. I do not speak Cantonese but its important to say that Gou Lau Cai has not to come nessecarily with a punch afterwards. Sometimes it happens in forms, sometimes not. Sometimes a performance of a form is just done incorrect. Often quan pu give an answer. Lets take Beng Bu Quan as an example. In the beginning of the second road there is a Gou Lau Cai. But WITHOUT a straight punch afterwards. 14 of 15 quan pu we work with say this. But people got so used to do the punch after the gou lau cai that they do it all the time in forms. Its important to see the difference between the Quan Pu entry "gou lau cai" and "gou lau cai tong chui". If there is done a straight punch afterwards in the form beng bu quan the follow up technique "fan che shi" cannot be done cause of a violation of the hand method. (there will be wrong hand to hand contacts) Furthermore Gou Lau Cai is a different technique than the technique "double sealing hands". We are not under Jing Mo HK, we are just following the spirit of ChinWoo to learn, practice and research KungFu.

多謝收看！其實我們只是分享先賢祖師留給我們的智慧和經驗，客觀來講，散手及博擊運動和現實應用需要考慮的情況不同，而古代所講究的是以實際情況作考慮；能夠流傳至今的傳統武術及其經典套路，其實便是把他們的心得和想法，以套路和拳經等方式記載下來，簡單來說散手就如文字，每字均有其多於一種的作用及意思，而文章及書籍就是套路。
我們不能只靠文字便能明白整篇文章的意思，所以有閱讀和理解，隨了要知道每一字的意義和用法，更要知道看前文後理，才能明白文章想表達什麼；如「自」字，可以自己、自然、自從⋯，至於點解就要看放在那裏了！而套路是由散招組成，先賢以自己的戰術和心得來篇成，因此他們就象經典典籍般，我們可以從中得到很大裨益和啓發性。不過大部分的招式是十分之抽象，加上串連起來的時，使之更加莫名其妙，其動機和心思，隱藏的玄機，即使是何等熟練，非有明白的老師指點是不可以能理解，更何況一般人！所以若我們不懂得如何理解，或是錯誤理解，縱使是多麼寶貴的套路不但會失真，並且對他們來說，都只是傳統遺留下來的包袱，及一大堆不設實際的動作而已！
正如計算機及電腦所用「二進制語言」0和1，就是從我國著名的「易經」中得到啟發而發明；當我們質疑自己文化的實用性，倒不如撫心自問，其實我們是真正認識他呢？了解多少呢？
所謂「道可道，非常道」，當中體會，要靠自己學習、了解和領略。習武其實是一種「道」，故日本人稱之爲「道場」，以武來認識及完善自我，修練自己，啓發潛能，尊重他人；同時藉着習武的特性，需要知行合一，才能夠明白箇中道理，同時懂得欣賞各種人和事物，開拓視野及知識，正如學音樂不是為了做音樂家、畫畫不是為了做畫家。縱觀，外國人對我們的文化仍然趨之若鶩，便可知道我們的文化在他們心目中價值及作用。

@@alexanderlee3226 @勝負在於半秒至一秒間，所謂一膽二力三工夫，李小龍的截拳道概念也基於此。他以前於半年內，從邵漢生前輩學習少林的節拳與北螳螂的崩步拳，化了十年苦練其中腳法當中有旋風腿、偏腿、鴛鴦腳....等等。石堅前輩曾說他的截拳道只不過西洋拳加一隻右腳，可見他懂得的招式不多，但快準勁就可制敵，有如獨行俠決戰，一拔鎗就命中。傳聞以前石堅與關師傅，因少小磨察雙方露了兩手，事後有人問他勝誰負，他引述霍元甲前輩的訓示，無堅不刻，惟快不破，可知他們的一輩，確是尊師重道，秉承遺訓。

Boxers punches get parried all the time. Both in boxing and in MMA. Do you not think parrying a punch is a useful technique?
