    you make it look easier than it actually is. Worth trying anyway!

      Ha! Have you given it a try? I’d like to do it again since I have tiles and grout leftover. Doing more than one helps since there’s a little learning curve.

    ❤ really pretty. Hi , Will watering your flowers ruin the artwork on the pot? can it get wet by watering?

    • @FirstDayofHome
      @FirstDayofHome  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Yes, the pot will be fine. I highly suggest using a clay pot sealer. I think I might’ve mentioned it in the video description, but I’m not 100% sure. That should help maintain the pot.

    Another way to break plates, etc. is to place them over an old towel on top of a rubber welcome mat or something similar. Hit the plates over the towel with a hammer.

      Thanks for sharing a tip! Just be careful to protect your eyes and hands. I like using a tile nipper tool because I have better control over the size of the pieces, but you shared a great tip for others who might want to use a household item.

    Trying to find mosaic tile grout but not able to find it, is this regular tile grout? Thank you, going to try this. Your tutorial is explained very well

      This is the tile grout I used. amzn.to/3meGEXM If you want to buy it locally, you can check a craft store like Michael’s or Hobby Lobby depending on where you live.

    You are making hard work of the tile cutter. Try using the very edge of the cutter not the whole blade. You will find that you can cut it with one hand.
    Great idea using old plates though 👍
