@@Akazoooo how is combining the character that speed boosts everyone around him with the character that is the slowest in the game not good? both are some of the most survivable heroes in the game. rock boop is a godly combo near cliffs. beat keeps sigma alive if he ever mistimes his cooldowns. amp allows for aggressive pushes with barrier. lots of reasons they play well together.

@@samgoodman7009 well does a fish know it’s underwater if it never seen the surface. I don’t really know if I’m teleported 2,000 ft deep in the ocean I haven’t seen the surface but I know I’m underwater. But that relies on weather or not the fish understands what water even is
@@megamillion2461 I would imagine a fish understands that it needs to stay in water, as we understand that fundamentally we need to stay where theres air, i’ve heard that fish cant see water, just like how we cant see air. I think it comes down to the fish that have been out of water, know theres a surface, but the fish who have no business near the surface probably do not know theres a surface that divides the air and water

@@mr.tiptoe4634 it’s shield’s health is really bad so it shouldn’t be put up for a long time against the enemy team or they will just beam it, i like to dance with my shield and strafe back and forth from it or put up the shield when u know ur abt to get hit and then put it away and rinse and repeat
exactly. the low shield health and the fact that it’s so mobile, the game design basically tells you not to leave it in the same place at once.
don’t forget that if you pull the shield back before it breaks, it starts to regenerate in about 1 second. but if you let it break, it takes like 3 or 4 seconds to start healing itself. that’s a LOT of time in Overwatch.
also you CAN use his barrier as a wall (i do occasionally), it’s just very very situational.
barrier is great to use as a wall when pushing it far away to cut off a Widowmaker’s LoS (like the sniper perch on Kings Row first point; or the high point on Circut Royal right after point one), or you can leave the barrier up to shield dance when being dived (by a Tracer or Reaper for instance).
you can also push the shield a little bit past an out of position character to cut off their backline’s ability to heal them and leave it up longer than normal.
but for the most part, barrier should go up and almost immediately come back down. save it for particular cooldowns like Hog Hook, DVA Missiles, DPS left clicks, etc.
when i see the enemy Sigma leave his wall up in the same place for more than like 3 seconds i notice it. and if i see it happen again, i know that he’s not a very good Sigma, and then i’ll just chad on him until we win or i force the swap to another hero.
cooldown management in Overwatch is so so so important, and if you use Sigma’s cooldowns well, he is borderline immortal.
(check out youtubers named Yeatle or A10. they are too rated OW tanks. they both have videos of them taking an unranked account and climbing to Grandmaster on Sigma only; and both of those videos are insanely educational, even if you only watch like a half dozen matches and not the whole thing.

I interpreted it differently initially I thought it meant that the universe doesn't weep because it doesn't affect the universe but the sun setting only affects the earth IE: (We are small comparable to the universe) .....das just me tho

I've always loved Sigma's backstory, even if somewhat rushed.
The idea of the universe singing to him in a maddening melody is so cool, as if he, by reaching this higher connection with the universe, gravity, and physics is now tapped into the rhythm of physics itself. "Gravity is just a harness" is so chilling... Another idea that Sigma is no longer exactly tethered to physics, so you wonder just what he feels, sees, that drove him mad.

@@noir9231 What's also cool is he developed multiple personalities just to cope with what he saw and still sees and hears. I like to think he has to have three different selves just to control the power he has, cause if he were to put it all together then who knows wtf would happen. It's also possible some sort of outward force enter his body and that's what the extra "people" in there is, some sort of higher being or some shit.

He was never underrated. Have you seen how excited people were when his Origin story came out?
For new Sigma, some tips
- Try to keep track of ultimates you can eat (Tracer, Mei, Zarya)
- Retract and use barrier in multiple directions for cooldowns, because your barrier is the most flexible in the game with low health (such as blocking hooks or helix from Soldier)
- Rock can stun people out of ultimates (like other Sigma’s, and Reapers)
- Remember your weapon does splash damage as well. Aim for areas, not just people
- Use your ult to focus one person to kill, and try to fly to high ground or save yourself from being booped off the map with it as well
- You can one shot low HP heroes combo with rock (Rock direct hit + one burst with spheres, melee after if it’s a hero such as Reaper/Cassidy)
Edit: Here’s some more tips as well
- Look to use your ult as fast as possible, you can build it back quickly due to your high splash damage spheres
- Using your ult on a nano’d Genji or Winston is useful to prevent your supports from dying
- Use your rock to stun heroes out of basic cooldowns such as D.va rockets/matrix, Genji deflect, Doom Block, or Hog Heal but make sure you can kill them after stunning
Most importantly: Remember to spam “I don’t think you understand the gravity of the situation” everywhere, ciao!
His primary does do direct impact damage, his splash is very low

Nah man. For some reason I've had multiple games with I predict a zarya grav and I never eat it. Even the zarya would send a message asking how I didn't eat it.
@@LazyCrazyNoob I’ve tested this and I think it’s because once Grav is closer to the floor than it is to you, it becomes no longer eatable. This means the initial launch is the only time you can eat it, which means you have to be perfect

I find it funny though also strange that everybody talks to Sigma like he's some child or weakminded individual, despite the fact he's possibly the smartest and most powerful member of any given team. The man got stared at by the universe and he chose to stare right back at it
yeah he's not exactly dumb considering he figured out how and managed to control blackholes and in turn gravity itself
he's more like a sheldon cooper, incredibly intellectual but 0 social skills at all
thinking about sigma again makes me realize that his madness has a lot in common with cosmic horror, and most of his quotes reflect that.
Well yeah he summoned a black hole and maybe sort of saw something he shouldn’t have seen which is the reason for him going mad, but yeah cosmic horror is one of the best genres of horror I suggest you check it out

Although I barely play him in-game, Sigma is by far my favorite character. His Origin story is by far the best, the Voice Actor did an amazing Job conveying the emotions of his 3 Split personalities, and you can even watch that shit backwards.
The music is hauntingly beautiful, so beautiful it got me into playing the piano.

From a power scale pov, Sigma is possibly the most powerful character in the lore, as he’s only 1 of 5 characters in game who have actual super powers, the other four being:
•Genji (summoning the Green Dragon when activating his Ultimate)
•Hanzo (storm arrows and can harness both halves of the blue dragon for his ultimate)
•Kiriko (teleportation, summoning the kitsune and the hallway of life)
•Reaper (can disassemble and reassemble his molecular structure at will without external assistance, unlike moira)
Sigma can summon black holes, gravity wells, self-producing graviton projectiles, and make a smaller yet more permanent gravity well for himself in order to float off the ground.
Very true, I would put zen because he straight up is using a type of power from the iris which we don't know much about as well as ramattra, and maybe tracer since she essentially can control a portion of time at her will.

I also love that Sombra pretty much just saw Sigma and was like "That's my grandpa" and started looking out for and taking care of him.
