Hey Sam, I might have missed it but how did you make your screen black and white?
You can change it under creative look but because you’re shooting raw it’ll capture as a coloured image but it helps for visualisation

I do Black and white a lot. It's my favourite way of removing the distraction of overly colourful environments which really helps focus on the subject when i do street photography of people. Great video!
I also find B&W give you a different perspective. I tend to lean towards B&W when doing certain street shots if the style looks suited to it. Great news about Discord too!

Constant use of lower F-number makes most of your images "flat/2D". I wish you could blend to F8-F11 to bring some depth/layering.

I've had that same lock up issue with my A7III and two different Samyang lenses. The camera body was up to date but Samyang lenses can only be updated via a dock so I decided to return both of them. A bit annoying to be forced to buy a proprietary dock when all other manufacturers allow updating via the camera.
Awesome video as always sir! My A7III did that all the time so i moved away back to a Canon R6.
Black and white is such a unique art form never know what your going to get
Shooting B&W removes one of the visual points, color (of course). This creates a new medium where light, shadow, contrast, shape and texture can change the whole 'story' of the subject, as no each one of them can be a story/feeling/mood all by themselves.
There's nothing like finishing a B&W film roll, developing and then printing in your own little darkroom. To watch your image appear and darken on the white 8x10 sheet under the red light, is an experience all photographers should have. At least once IMO. It really grounds you, makes the reason why you picked up a camera in the first place...clearer.

Like you posted. So many think its easy just shoot away then. Heavily edit it in PS right in a way i suppose. But you still got to make sure shadows, highlights etc have to be done right 1st.Or the images will look rubbish.But it definitely has a lot going for it.

I shoot in b&w always with my Fujifilm xt20. I shoot in Raw&jpeg on it. Because looking for what i did was a pain only in Raw. Now i shoot both and i can see what image i'm after easier.I shoot both portrait & landscape too. Some sick shots in this video dude 👌

You've touched on everything i love to. Funny how we all do similar stuff. But i do love a bench shot when out. I feel they tell such a cool story ie they just chilling, waiting for someone or my favourite thing to do. Watch the world pass by.
Dealing with the bloke 10:30 - nicely done - good teachable moment there showing that you will get stopped and questioned now and again but if you're sensible and open about what you're doing things generally work out ok.

Randomly stumbled upon this video and reminded me of the time I went to do an all B&W shoot. The shots we're lovely, the only thing I loved more than the shots were the interactions honestly. The one infront of the Cafe Nero definitly was rather bizzare haha.

11:02 thanks for saying that. I’m visiting London for the first time at the end of March, and seen so many people stop you in your videos that, as a tourist it would probably deter me from continuing to shoot if I had so many people ask me what I’m doing.

I quite liked some of these shots, even though black and white photography is really hard for me to like most of the time. For me it’s like, if you’re gonna take the colors out of a photo, then there better be something else amazing to take its place, you know what I mean? But yeah, some really cool shots in this video. Also, great video. :)

My camera did that exact wierd broken thing a couple of weeks ago too, doing street photography and it just froze completely. Had to take the battery out to reset it? Mad
Unlucky with the freezing issue. Hope it doesn't happen again or to mine either. Had it happen on my phone before which was bad since no removable battery 😒
Gonna visit the samsonite store for a shot as I have one of their business backpacks and its quality 👌
My XT4 froze something like that when I was deleting pictures. Had to remove the battery like you and it is okay, hopefully🤞🏽
Same happened to my nikon, this is rare but hopefully nothing bad
the iv has had some quirks... mine has played up, not in the exact same way but 🥴 lets hope there's a firmware update haha

ive watched couple other yt videos with regards to a7iv and that it would randomly "freeze" and the only remedy is to remove the battery and put it back on, that sorta reboots the camera

Camera freezes because of the lens .Samyangs common problem.Never happened to me with sigma lenses or sony lenses
I only shoot B&W with film.
What I've learnt from UK photography videos, is that it's a common occurance in the UK for terrorists to photograph, and attack unremarkable building exteriors.
