    Thanks for the comparison. I have a 2.5" BDS lift with new springs all around. I added the rear upper control arm spacer from Low-Range and KYB rear shocks, as the BDS shocks were far too stiff. I would recommend this as a good value lift for the Trackers.

    I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned it yet but the better way to get your suspension measurements is to the center of the hub. Then you don't have to worry about what ground you are parked in or tske into account the tires. Especially if someone else wants to compare it to their build. Just food for thought.

    • @DeathTollRacing
      @DeathTollRacing Před 2 lety

      Thanks. You must always be on flat ground for suspension measurements. Regardless of where I measured it from, floor or centerline to a random piece of tape on the fender, the math ends up the same. There are times where you must do as you said and measure from axle center however, but you would still need to be on flat ground unless you are measuring a fixed axle with no suspension.

    Why would the coil spacers wear any other component faster? The angles of all the steering geometry are the very same. It's also preferable to release the front table mounts at the bushings and the rear arms to prevent binding.....

    • @DeathTollRacing
      @DeathTollRacing Před rokem

      It’s no “so much” the spacer, it’s that usually a lift is in combination with larger tires, and the rod on the strut is fairly small which flexes significantly (aka “tracker wheel wobble”). The lifted struts have a bigger rod. (The rod in a strut system controls the camber).

    I'm considering getting a tracker I already have a samurai. At the moment I was day dreaming about maybe doing a solid axle swap for the front of a tracker that i may get. but if I go check out how much flex my samurai has vs that tracker on the front. then maybe I will forget about a swap. 4xfourart is the cheapest kit with tubular arms now about 1200. The extreme kit moves the front wheels forward about 1.5in to gain clearance needed for 34s. No cutting the front fenders behind the tire
