That occurred to me some months back- that for a long ATP, the best defense might be to simply wait for it right at the net, but I haven't had an opportunity to try it out yet. Glad to see that it can work.

Ngl you give a little more value to people falling down and hitting a ball near them than I would like but overall this is a solid compilation! The #10 by Kyle is definitely my shot of the year. #1 is just as original and a bit more wacky but you gotta win the point.
Agreed, Kyle's was the first of its kind. As was Mary's. but it is certainly ironic the only shot that lost the point was #1 haha!

Great stuff. I love that you included a lot of shots by people who are not usually on the podium. Jay Devilliers, Kyle Yates, and Riley Newman are pretty much one man highlight videos.
And the winner is...
JAY DEVILLIERS, with 8, and imo, his were generally the best quality as well. Ben and Kyle with 7 each. Riley only had 4, but he makes so many crazy good shots they could have, I'm sure, included many more of his. For the ladies, Jessie, Callie and Ana Leigh are all tied at 3 apiece. Surprised I didn't see more from Ana Leigh, but as with Riley, I'm sure there were a LOT of near misses. The biggest surprise, imo, Meagan Fudge with two incredibly good shots.

Could have been higher for sure. Ignatowich hit the same shot and we had that at #6

How is Paris Todd's ridiculous no look cross court reach backhand save for winner 2 spots below (56) the ernie from Kyle Yates (54)? I mean, sure, Yates made a great read way in advance, not trying to throw shade....but it wasn't really jaw dropping. Just compare the reaction of the commentators.

@@pickleballhighlights7068 Yeah you did a great job overall, didn't mean to sound overly critical. It's super tough to put 100 shots in order of excellence. But to me there are like 3 tiers in this video. 3 - Very commendable shot, almost definitely shot of whatever match it waas played. 2 - Insanely impressive, shot of the day. 1 - So stupidly good it just makes you want to quit playing pickleball. I think the Yates ernie was tier 3 and Paris's shot was tier 2.

So, pickleball isn't really a new game, so much as just miniature tennis, or really big table tennis. Here and I thought it was this NEW game. Not so much.

I have played Racquetball for 3 decades, played tennis off and on, played table tennis quite a bit, and now have found Pickleball to be the most enjoyable to play. Maybe it is just because it is something new, but I think there are interesting aspects to the game of Pickleball that is quite different than the other Racquet/Paddle sports that I find appealing.
First time I try this stupid game I'll be world champ.
