I grew up in my house listening to this on vinyl every Sunday (at the minimum) Liszt was the very first Rock Star... and She does it brilliantly. You can hear her passion and brilliance in her performance! Wonderful!!!
I just checked out an Instagram post when you were just ten years old playing Chopin. And now at twenty years old the Magnificence continues... Just wondering did you look up Ruth Alexander? Another piano virtuoso in my opinion...Seems like someone good to know. The meantime keep up the good work young lady, continue to maintain your level of excellence... And try to inspire as many young African-American young women as you can. WE NEED A WHOLE LOT MORE OF THIS!!!🙏🏽🎵🎵🎶🎶💯
I loved that! A very refreshing interpretation. I've always felt that rubato can enhance many songs but it never seems to be permitted very often in classical music. I wonder what a slow interpretation of the flight of the bumble bee would sound like. I bet cleverness could be made useful.
