One reason i could think of why she and the song didnt get an award its bcoz Filipinos, most filipinos nowadays are more westernized in terms of music choice. Western or modern type of music like pop, rock and rap... Ballads are still popular but not as it was before. For example here in aklan, a province, you would think that popular songs here would be ballads but they arent.... Most songs played here and listened to by youngsters are pop and rap! Specially rap battles like fliptops... Owww yes....people go crazy for rap battles here... When asked if they know "rise up" most will answer no.
