Nice Video. Thanks for the history lesson in the museum. -Marc
Thanks Marc!!
Love your humor too 🎉
Gracias ☺️
So high quality narration style
Thank you so much ☺️
Your accent and views are hilarious 😂
Ice cream and cheese sounds like an excellent combination! Sisal looks like a beautiful little town with some great street art. We enjoyed the bit of Heineken history and it's connection to Sisal. Looked like a perfect day for a cold beer 🍻.
It doesn’t surprise us that you two would be up for trying the cheese ice cream. Yes, it was a hot one but a beautiful town to enjoy (& enjoy a cerveza)
It looks so hot lol... great video a nice small town...viv
Hi Viv ! Yes it was extremely hot the day we visited. Luckily the beach was there lol Thanks so much for watching
I just found your channel. Tons of great, useful info for this soon to be expat.
Hi Hazel, thank you so much for your kind words! Welcome to our channel and good luck with your forthcoming move.
Nice!!
Thank you so much Nancy!!
Beautiful ❤
Such a beautiful beach there!
Agree ! The beach is absolutely stunning ! ❤️
My other half always wants my drink. 🍹
Haha - oh no ! As an only child (Raquel) sharing with Ricky is not my favourite thing to do LOL
@@RickRackTravels I'm an only also, I know how you feel!
@@cindykawa2492 glad I am not alone in this lol 😂
Always enjoy a good beach day. Love all the little towns you introduce to us. I would imagine it would be a lot busier if not for Mother's Day. Rachel......especially enjoyed your 'jellyfish' imitation in front of the wall, lol.
Hi Debbie, yes I suspect if it hadn’t been Mother’s Day we could have taken a boat tour or even hired a moto taxi to take us around. The town was super quiet but also peaceful and beautiful. Haha yes I must have been a jellyfish in another life 🤣
Gina is a big fan of jamaica - AND - horchata as well as cheese (so yes to the cheese ice cream). Sisal looks very lovely. That is one NICE clean beach. Thank you for the tour.
We have similar tastes in food & drink ! Yes, the beach was spotless (I believe it’s won awards) a great little town. Thanks for watching you two
the henequen plant was the source for making the best rope available in the era before petrochemicals took over. .In the era of henequen it was known as green gold as it made vast fortunes that built the colonial city of Merida. The historical center of Merida dares back to 18th and 19th centuries when the city was most prosperous during the green gold era.
Very true
I loved this video. ❤️ I'm sitting at the famous Kawartha Dairy having a Gold Medal Ribbon ice cream in a waffle cone watching you eat yours! Ha...think I like mine better lol.
The beach ⛱️ looks amazing and sparkling ✨️ clean!
Haha 😂 the cheese ice cream was awesome ! And the beach is definitely a stunner !! 😍
Excellent video keep up the good work. Hibiscus dry flowers is what Ricky was drinking. 😎😎😉
Ahhh thank you Juan ! Appreciate that
Great video and also a little funny how your face looked when you finally found the museum. I also like how you have started to incorporate different audio with the video, looking good. Keep them coming.
Yes the museum surprised me a little ! Lol Thanks so much for your comment on the editing - we really value your feedback !
What a beautiful city 💖
It’s a stunner !
4:05 Actually translate as “en realidad”, actualmente means nowadays or in actuality. Fantastic video.
Thanks very much for clearing that up. Appreciate that
🥂🥂❤️❤️🍺
❤️🇲🇽❤️
The beach is so quiet, not many people at all. I had no idea that places closed down for Mother's Day, glad you had a nice day despite things not being open. I would like to live in PM and that area, can't stand humidity, so I love your videos!
Hi Debbie, Yes we also had no idea that things would be closed for Mother’s Day (live & learn). I must say it is very humid in this area especially in the summer BUT there is always the nicest, refreshing breeze at the beach ! Thanks so much for watching & your encouraging comment
How far from puerto Morelos is Sisal? Hours drive? Would you recommend to spend the night there or make it a day trip ? I really enjoy the information you give us on your visits to other towns and beaches. Every year my husband and myself stay at El CID in puerto Morelos. We really enjoy it!
Hi Margie ! That’s great you visit PM every year and love it. Sisal is a bit far for a day trip from Puerto Morelos (5 hour drive one way) We were day tripping from Churburna. Sisal is a lovely town (if you enjoy very quiet beach towns) and I personally would love to go back again but stay overnight. Thanks so much for watching
I stumbled upon This town on Google maps looking around where I worked in South Louisiana the past 3 years I was curious to see what it looks like on the opposite side of the gulf and found this town and it's now added to my bucket list. But I can't figure out how or why flights from Myrtle Beach to Sisal are 19 hours... I'm guessing I would have to fly into a nearby regional airport or major airport in the in that part of Yucatan and then track the rest of the way via a bus or rental. Was it hard getting rentals down there? Were they reasonable rates? Are there any hotels nearby? Thanks for the video it just got me stirred even more to want to go! Cheers from the coast of South Carolina!
Hi, yes you are definitely not flying into Sisal it’s a small town! I believe the nearest airport would be Merida about 1 hour 15 minutes away. There are probably buses from Merida as well. There are a few small hotels but we stayed about half an hour away. Sorry not sure about the rates in Sisal
How much was the palapa rental? thanks
Hi Traveling Squirrel (love the name!) If we remember correctly, we believe it was $150 pesos. (It may be less a little further along the beach- we were right at the pier)
less pictures of yourself, more pictures of sisal would have been nicer, just turn the camera around...
We will try our best!
