    Freaking awsome dude, when you showed us this on the course I was questioning the use of a blanket lol. But as you showed us during the course it works amazingly well and a heck of alot warmer than using a canvase tarp lol 😆. Awsome video brother, you kick azz

    Stomps, I’d only add that not only is every piece of kit multi-functional… but practicing improvisation makes you better at it… a more creative thinker… more able to adapt.
    As always, you da man homie!!

    I got the 100% queen sized blanket from them. I did try out your "wool blanket under quilt" idea from one of you vids....doesn't work so well in Temps under 30 degrees...luckily I was in my back yard...lol. I did take the blanket on a one night hammock camp with the warbonnet black bird XLC double layer....worked outstanding af..lol

    I have a grand trunk skeeter beater hammock that I have had for over 4 years, never even taken it out of the package yet. I need to find a nice tarp and some quilts for it as my camping is done in the winter.

    Great video bud! If I had to go back and do it again, I’d have used my wool blanket instead of an oilcloth tarp for this… it got more than a bit cold and didn’t sit right.

    Hi pal I’ve got one of them twin wool blankets, do you think with your experience if I added another one do you think u could sleep all night in winter say to 0deg (freezing point) without alnight fire with good clothing on good bed boughs, I’m not holding you to that cus I know everybody is different but say yourself thx?

    • @TonyPowers_Dirtbound
      @TonyPowers_Dirtbound  Před 3 lety +1

    Would paracord be okay to use, or not advised?

    • @TonyPowers_Dirtbound
      @TonyPowers_Dirtbound  Před 3 lety

      I wouldn’t use it. Paracord is strong but I doubt it would hold up. I usually carry about 50ft of nylon rope in my kit. Doesn’t weight much or take up a lot of room! Thanks for watching

    • @TonyPowers_Dirtbound
      @TonyPowers_Dirtbound  Před 3 lety

      Yep, each kit should start with the 10 C’s and build from there! I always bring a few comfort items with me like a Grayl water filter and butane stove kit!
      There’s no limit to what you can carry just keep in mind the functionality of each piece!

      How does that work against convection and I’m assuming a queen size would be even more comfy.

    • @TonyPowers_Dirtbound
      @TonyPowers_Dirtbound  Před 3 lety +1

      This is something I wouldn’t do in the extreme cold! Wouldn’t protect much at far as conduction and convection are concerned
