This is beautiful I love that you talk to us while you do this. I’m going to try this!!
Beautiful painting. Thanks for putting that it took 45 minutes. I find that so useful to have a guide, it should take me twice as long if I want to get close to your results. Makes me want to have a try again, they are stuck in a drawer. Thanks
I love this!! These colors are so soothing to me. And I love the soft filtered look.
This painting has me all inspired. Although I have so many 'projects' in the queue that it will have to wait! This is so pretty!
Lindsay you are awesome,
Oh my goodness this is beautiful! ‘Mist’ appeals to me so much. I loved every single stage of this but the finish…oh wow!
You did such a beautiful job, Lindsay! You captured the mist and the glow of the scene perfectly. And, I love your color choices, too! Thank you so much for another lovely and inspiring lesson!
Thank you so much for using the oil pastels. I have not picked them up over the summer and now i’m really inspired to try them again! This is truly lovely!
This is so beautiful! The light shining through the forest has a mystical look! Thanks for sharing your talent and recommendations!
Gorgeous! Thanks for the tips on the silicone tools. You always have such great advice!
Thank you for this video! I got oil pastels this year and have struggled to start with them. I am inspired and determined to get the hang of these now. Thank you again😊
Just picking up my love of art again after many years away. Have never used pastels so really looking forward to trying out my new supplies. This is really lovely. Thank you.
Absolutely STUNNING!
I love this, it’s gorgeous! Can’t wait to try it. Thanks Lindsay!
WoW!! Lindsay, this is incredible!!! I loved the mystical, dreamy look at 4.30 and there were so many spots in the video that changed up the painting!!! So mesmerizing to watch. The finished painting is fabulous!!! I haven’t used my oil pastels in so long. So really have a gift!!! Thank you for sharing!!!! I could watch this over and over!
This is making me want to go back and do the watercolor painting again. So pretty.
Love this and will give it a try with some of the oil pastels that I thrifted. Thank you!
I tried this one today and am very happy with the result. Thank you so much for doing a real time vid and talking us thru it.
Hi Lindsay you have inspired me to use the oil pastels I have had for a month or two. Thank you for your great demo.
Fab landscape. Love the variety of greens you used too.
Wow, what a stunning painting! I've been wanting to try oil pastels for a long time. I really need to do it now!!
Your oil pastel pieces really inspire me. I have been in a bit of an art funk for several months, and I really want to sit down with my supplies today and give this a shot.
I hope you do!
I just got the Paul Rubens sets. They are awesome! So impressed. Thank you so much for the recommendation. I'll be doing this tutorial asap.
This looks really beautiful Wendy and you make it look so easy. I will have to try it once I get my pastels. Thank you for the lesson.
Wow! Love anything of the mint / teal visage; beautiful work Lindsay. Thank you
So pretty! I love it when you do pastels!
Love!!! And I love playing with my oil pastels. I will definitely be trying this one. Thank you
Absolutely love how this turned out Lindsay! I'm not so confident with pastels but have done a few scribbles with Mungyo soft and oil pastels my children bought me for Mother's day last year. Might see if I can find the courage to try this one.
Absolutely gorgeous painting.
Wow, that turned out great! So much depth and my favorite colors. I'd like to see you do this in watercolor.
Thanks Lindsay. Woohoo! Oil pastels! I have a few kinds. Paul Ruben, mungyo and Faber Castell. I'll give this a go. Last year the autumn forest I did was a HUGE disaster. So here we go; let us pray. 😉💜
Thank you for the demo. I don't have sanded paper but just got a sanded ground medium that I'm going to try.
I love this! Can't wait to try it!
I love this so much- the subject, the colors, the style!!! Just beautiful!!!
Thanks Tracey!
Stunning! Absolutely beautiful!❤😍👏👏👏
This is beautiful and just what I needed today. Thanks for making my day better.
Beautiful results, Lindsay. I have used the sanded paper for chalky pastels, but not the oil type. This sanded pastel paper is rather pricey where I have seen it. Thank you for all your inspiring and beautiful art.
Love it! I can’t wait to try this!
Thank you for this tutorial! I love Paul rubens oil pastels♡
That turned out beautifully! Love it...thanks for sharing!
Whenever you upload a pastel tutorial I drop everything to watch!
Aww, thanks!
Love it!!! Thank you for doing an oil pastel.
This is gorgeous Lindsay. Makes me want to give it a try!
I really love this painting
This is absolutely beautiful Lindsay!! Thank you so much, I can’t wait to try this. It’s been a tough week and how wonderful to have this to look forward to this weekend!! ❤️❤️❤️
Im sorry it's been a tough week. Hang in there!
that is fantastic! I love that Lindsay, and I am thrilled you are having a nice weekend with your family. x
Oh. My. Goodness. This is so beautiful!
Thank you!
Beautiful, like stepping in to a perfect morning.
Its so amazing, love this art
Thank you , Lindsay! Because of this tutorial, I bought a small set of oil pastels. It didn't have white or black, but my white art crayon worked great. I didn't want to waste good paper to practice, so I used Strathmore Printmaking paper. It worked great. I am no artist. You are an inspiration for us to keep trying.
This is beautiful. Thanks for the tutorial!
This is such a wonderful picture! Thank you for sharing!
This is SOOOO beautiful!!
This is so lovely Lindsay😍. You give so many useful tips thank you. Excited to try this out with a water colour base as you suggested as I don't have sanded paper or the sennelier for an extra layer
This is beautiful. I think I will try this. Thanks, Lindsay.
It’s beautiful! Thank you for sharing.
Lovely oil pastel. Thanks Lindsay.
Love watching your videos Lindsay! You are so inspiring!
Thanks!
I love this one
Lovely result, I wish more people would use oil pastels, because they are a very good medium to use and paintings have a really lovely glow to them, too often I hear them referred as being inferior and that is definitely not the case. Thank you for sharing your process.
OMGOSH! This looks magical! The light streaming in grabbed my attention. Really lovely. I need to try this. Thanks Lindsay!
You are welcome!
Oh! It’s beautiful!
That was so cool to watch. Thank you for sharing
I'm so happy that you did this painting for us, It is beautiful. I can't wait to try it. Your tips are great. I'm also happy that I bought less expensive oil pastels and the Sennelier pastels. I'm 60 and retired. I used oil pastels in high school but obviously that was a long time ago. So now I get to have fun!
Enjoy!
Lindsay 😍 this one is one of my favorites! I have been wanting to create my own misty forest. Really enjoyed watching your process and how you bring a piece to life. Your recording schedule must be crazy, you bring us so many great videos each week. Thanks for all you do, I consistently find little gems I can take away in each video and I am appreciative of all your hard work.
Thank you!
It turned out really beautiful!
I followed it with mybsuper cheap and kinda old pastels and it cMe out better than I dared to dream! Great tutorial! Thank you!
Wonderful!
Love this and it looks crazy easy, watching you, you are so gifted. Now I have to get up the nerve to start the water color class. 🤗😬
That's one of the prettiest uses of oil pastels I've ever seen. 👍
Thanks!
I second that!
So beautiful!
Love this Lindsay, my sister gave me some oil pastels in her early Alziemer illness as she no longer can paint... After seeing this tutorial I will definitely have a go ....thankyou love this x
This is beautiful and i love it, colors are so pretty and it's a bit mysterious.. Awesome! Thank you
Reminds me of some photos I have taken. May need to try this. Thanks.
Very nice. I’m definitely going to give this one a go.
Gorgeous!!!
Just wonderful ppainting.
Gorgeous painting!
Really love this 😍
You are amazing and can make anything out of anything! Wonderful painting. My grandson has started to use oil pastels and is rubbing blisters on his finger so I’m trying to instruct him from 2000 miles away on alternative ways to blend.
Thank you! This was my first oil pastel painting and I loved it. You made it easy for me to follow!
Thanks!
Beautiful as always!
Very Pretty! Now I need some oil pastels.
Really enjoyed this. Would love more fall leaves landscapes in whatever medium you like. Thanks.
So pretty!
I have a few of those finger cots from Dollar Tree also! I use them for pastels also but I got them originally for my gel crayons! It was a life saver I love them and my hands aren’t so yucky at work!!
That is beautiful!
It looks like a Disney movie scene! Thanks for sharing 😍
Love it!
Beautiful art 😻 oil pastels are my favorite medium
That picture came out so great Lindsay!
Thank you for this great tutorial. I purchased some PR pastels at your recommendation a while back and haven't used them yet. This will be a good way to break them in. I don't have sanded paper but I received a pad of pastel paper with my set, so I'll probably try that first. Since I'm new to this medium, I will be soaking up all info so can find. I can't wait to give this a whirl. I love all your videos and watch your Sat chats with my morning coffee on Saturdays. When My husband hears you, he says you're listening to that fast talking woman again. LOL
Love it. Thanks!
I love how this came out, I have been struggling to find good paper for oil pastels. I'll have to try sanded paper as I find they don't blend so nicely on really smooth paper.
I really like it!
UART has great sanded paper! You can find it on Amazon and Blick's site. Just remember that sandpaper (both construction and art kinds🤣) are labeled kind of like steel gauge in that the higher the number the smaller the grit particles and the smoother the paper will be! Hope this helps 😄
I am using UART here:)
Beautiful I love so much how you go on explaining details. Thank you❤
You are so welcome
I love when you work with oil pastels! They're one of my favorite mediums
Same.
What a beautiful color palette!
And beautiful artwork, of course. It glows.
Love this piece….colors I love. I’ve got a set of Sennelier, Mungyo & Paul Rubens…I gotta get back to using them again soon.
Love this medium. I did the lemons and the pizza awhile back, so will give this ago too!
Thanks for continuing to use this technique where I have the supplies I need. This turned out so beautiful! Play Misty for Me would make a good title😊
It would!
I remember that other watercolour one! I painted that one following your tutorial :D
Oh COOL! Now I can try my unopened set out with something pretty!
Oh my! Cute?! This is gorgeous!!
Thank you!
