Yes, in my opinion, Angelina did Nina proud, but at the same time, she left her behind in the dust. This is not just a good cover; it is the BEST rendition I've ever heard in my 68 years, bar none -- and I've heard many over the years. Nick, as usual at that time with AJ, this was a charity concert and the treasure of Norway was invited. A lot of her concerts she did where for fundraisers.
In 2014 she sang in Berlin/Germany at "Ein Herz fĂŒr Kinder" (A heart for the children) and they raised 21 million EURO that night together with many other artists.

I've been following her career for a few years now, and she is phenomenal. My favorites are when she is with guitarist ivan singing a million years ago, stay, and california dreamin. I believe all are around age 12. She completely blew me away with i'm still holding out for you, which was a demo that was not supposed to be released. She did the demo for babyface, who ended up releasing the song because her mom was concerned about the dark content. She also does a Whitney Houston cover that shows her versatility. I also really love her originals. A million miles, which she wrote about her grandfather and 7th heaven. I enjoy watching your reactions and you going down the rabbit hole of the phenomenal angelina.

A ten minute excursion is often enough to find whatever it is you're looking for. You can even do that in no time by taking a break in your video and starting up again once you got what you needed. The arrangement by Hal Moody Wikipedia mentions that Nina Simone sung to may have been the same arrangement used here by Angelina. ... And, yes. Another mesmerizing performance by Angelina. ... Hi Nick đ. An absolutely wonderful reaction to 10 Angelina. There's a video of Angelina finding her way of singing this song. It's a behind the scenes kind of thing at 10 on her writing things out and then trying them. It worth a reaction. She also sang it again at a outdoor concert but with her small stage band and gave it a different feel but still amazing. Worth reacting to also. Remember that Angelina never sings a song the same way twice even her originals. So they'll all be 1st time reactions. Thank you for another reaction to Angelina. In my opinion, she is the best singer in the world, and there are thousands of others who would agree with me. Every moment you spend featuring her on your channel will being you great emotional satisfaction.
There are so many things I get from this performance. Some I recognised immediately and those I missed were brought to my attention by the more observant Angelina fans (her Angels) and I thank them for letting me know what I had missed.
(1) The realisation that at the age of 10 Angelina has shed all childishness from her voice.
(2) A feeling that the placement of the spotlight at the beginning of her performance was deliberate. If it was, then, to my mind, it was a brilliant move.
(3) The fact that Angelina arranged this song and that the band kept out of the way and let her voice be the focus.
(4) The incredible low note she sang for the word "good" at the beginning and end of the performance.
(5) That wonderful crescendo at the end.
(6) The was Angelina used her left arm and hand throughout the performance
(7) The way she changed the microphone from her right hand to left hand, so that she could flip her hair back with her right hand.
(8) The cheeky smile she gave to the cameraman when she realised he had focused on her at about 5.39 in your reaction video.
(9) The sideways look and grin she gives to her instrumentalists just after she curtsies to the audience -- as if to say, "Yeah, we killed it, guys! Now let's go get some ice cream!"
(10) The almost instantaneous switch from "performance" mode to that of a young child who,curseyed and gave a sweet smile to the audience as an acknowledgement of their applause.
Others have commented that the performance by Nina Simone should be considered the "gold" standard for this song. Until recently, I had never watched her performance, but have now done so. They just cannot be compared, for Angelina's arrangement is totally different

Maybe, because I come from this time, and Nina sang this in spite of all sorrow and anger she witnessed, while fighting for civil rights and against racism. Very moving, a real song of hope. Here we have an innocent child, who gives her heart to the people in the audience and her angels, telling about real values of live. Quite different vibe...

I think her runs are instrumental, she hits the notes treating her voice as an instrument because she had minimal vocal training mainly focused on protecting her voice and breath control. Her main musical training was instrumental. She studied piano, flute violin and guitar. The slight yodel at the end of her notes is not something I can remember in another of her songs. That is why listening to her whole back catalogue is a good idea.

Nick, as always, what a great commentary and insight for this performance. We know well how outstanding Angelina was as many of us have seen it countless times. The poise and confidence, the control and emotion, and that finish which was Not from this world! But with that said, kudos also go to the reactor who spends a few minutes researching the song, it's meaning, and the original artist. You also provided some great information on vocal technique and your knowledge of Angelina leading the band rather than vice versa. Instead of saying Angelina did a great cover song, I would take that a step further as others have, and say that Angelina uncovers a song, or that she is the song.
Thanks again Nick for supporting the artist and directing viewers to her channel to subscribe. Just a bit of important information here. The benefit to the artist is achieved the same way as it is for your channel. Both of you benefit equally if you encourage the same actions for both artist and reactor. That is, watch all videos to the end, like, comment, share, and subscribe. The artist receives maximum benefit when viewers like and comment on the original video the same as your reaction video. That way everybody wins. Keep in mind that the artist also has Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok channels where subscriptions are highly desirable. Nice job, Nick. One thing I pick up on this video is how she tracks the mobile camera while it is passing in front of her. Here's a room full of people but she tracks the camera. Mark of a pro (in the making). Between Norway's Got Talent and America's Got Talent, Angelina did a ton of YT covers. I think her covers of Adele songs are especially worth watching (e.g. "A million years ago" sung to a single acoustic guitar). Her cover of "I will Always Love You" (the Whitney classic) is amazing as it stretched her into a whole different style. I start her current period with her signing with Republic Records as they changed the production quality of her videos dramatically. (take a look at "Easy On Me", for example) but the frequency went way down as she entered middle school and through high school (which she is about to finish).
Of her own songs--Shield, A Million Miles Away, Seventh Heaven, Love Don't Let Me Go--they have done pretty well but one can see her song writing improving over time (of course).
There's a lot of territory to cover with her. Right now, the question on my mind is whether she will go to college or not--and how that decision will shape her future.

Hopefully when they create the documentary of Angelina's life, we will learn the back story of her relationship with Avicii. After NGT Angelina was well known and respected among Scandinavian musicians. I have heard rumors that she corroborated with Avicii on the arrangemnent for the Volvo ad campaign. There are pictures of them together on social media when she was younger than 10, and she posted a very touching tribute cover of Wake Me Up after his tragic death.
People bought a ticket to come in her saying she gets paid bangers paid the directors on stage and get paid. If the carpenter electricians everybody gets paid for the season tickets sheâs actually working as a profession of age of 10.đ

Nick, you may wish to back up a little bit and partake of Angelina when she was only six years old and supposedly the first time in a recording studio. She was singing âI who have nothingâ. Remember it was not only her first time in the recording studio, but this filming was her very first take of the song.j
