Just to clear things up. I wrote the song in early 1979. My band was NiteFlyte and it was released in late 1979 on the Ariola records label. Flamingosis sampled it in 2021 with my approval. A lot of Japanese artists covered it and copied it mostly without my ok. The original song is called “If You Want It” Cheers and thanks for all the likes! Sandy Torano.

The way that you capture the nostalgic feeling of an endless summer in every one of your songs is nothing short of magical.
It's also really cool how we keep coming back to the story of your dad and your uncle playing frisbee together. I normally don't comment twice. But I just need to say that the animation on this is absolutely perfect. It fits the vibes just right and is excellently animated. I really loved when the flamingos came down from the sky and starting forming shapes. When the trumpet player was overlayed against the moon and the trumpet became the synth it blew my mind. It was very creative. The music is great but let's give a shout-out to the people who made the music video.
Takes me right back to San Diego 1984 playing beach volley ball with my friends in middle school. It was the night of the blue tide. We spent the afternoon under the dock with a bag of oranges talking about whatever. Then night came, we ran into the surf, splashing, jumping, watching the sea glow electric blue.
