Marlin and billfish daisy chain teaser and trolling lure position in the spread

  • This video clip shows The Fly Chain by Caza Offshore at the proper position in the spread when trolling for marlin and other billfish. Note that the birds are at an angle and distance allowing them to pop out of the water like natural flying fish. Lures or baits are positioned behind the daisy chain teaser to mimic larger prey chasing after the baitfish. The teasers can be quickly reeled to the boat for a drop back with a dead ballyhoo or live bait.

    Hard to say percentage wise overall, but generally see the lures or rigged ballyhoo directly behind our Fly Birds and Fly Chains get hit exclusively.

    Beautiful! How much would you say it increase your strikes? even if they were on other lures in the spread... thank you.
