If you are used to the 12.9 screen, buy the 13 inch, I found I was not happy returning to an 11 inch screen. Love the new ipad pro 13.
12.9 m1 iPads still have a lot of life left in them. I am still wowed by the mini led brightness in HDR scenarios. The move to OLED seems like another step forward rather than a leap forward. I am patiently waiting for the m5 pros to even consider upgrading
I went with the Silver 13in., and I love it! Classic Apple vibes. My M1 and M2 were both Space Gray; decided I needed a change!
The 13 inch pro is so tempting, but I have to keep telling myself I don’t need it. My 2018 12.9 inch pro is still going strong.

Unless you intend to use your Pro for lots of video editing or if you have money to throw away then there is no point getting the new Pro. I have the M1 Pro and it’s still overpowered for iPad OS. Until iPad OS is a more robust operating system then I will not be upgrading. It has the hardware but not the software.
I know they all just keep lying and saying it's the OS
As someone who went from an even older non M model iPad to the new M4, I can’t agree with you more. The differences in processing power are barely noticeable. The biggest upgrade is the relocated Face ID camera which now just works, probably where it should have been located from the point they introduced the Magic Keyboard.
It’s worth upgrading just for the new oled imo. Unless you just don’t have the money and then of course don’t do it
Mine will be here on Monday. I’ll be keeping my m1 as well tho bc like you said it’s still a very good iPad
And one more thing I use mine mainly for watching videos and gaming so both those things will be way better on the m4

I love the Silver Color! its so clean! Atleast you still get the USB-C Poweradapter in the US, im in the EU, Apple is selling it without Poweradapter here now, the Package is so slim too now. Nice Comparison tho!! BTW Where did you get your Apple Watch Ultra Band! It Looks sick! Is it from Nomad?
Only reason I’m upgrading my 2018 pro is its battery kinda sucks now and I didn’t want to pay for a battery replacement on a 6 year old device. I’m also a sucker for oled. My tv, monitor, and phone are all oled, I was just waiting for the iPad to finally get it.
I’m also sticking with the trusty 11" as the 13" imo is too big and defeats the purpose of a tablet.
Otherwise.. you’re right, the 2018 iPad Pro is still a beast and I don’t have a single complaint about it lol
what do you think of the iPad Mini? If apple puts promotion and some of the pro features that will be the perfect iPad imo

I still have the older M1 iPad 11 inch pro from 2022 which still works quite well. Was lucky to find a cheap enough one with 2TB of storage. Not sure if I will ever upgrade to the M4 but should something ever happen I may consider it.
What case do you recommend for the 13 pro
I made a Big mistake upgrading from my M1. I just got the M4 today. The screen is incredible. But other than that its the same experience. Much faster. It isnt worth it 😖. Stupid me.

I think the IPad Mini 6 is the best for what I use it for. It’s much sharper with the 324 ppi vs the larger iPads at 264 ppi. The text is much sharper. And I’m able to take it anywhere I go.
I’m waiting for M5 when they remove the camera and 2 more speakers. It will be Quadrum OLED with 1005 SDR and 1700 peak brightness

Thanks for the comparison, I was looking forward to your review comparing the Mini LED vs OLED since I have an M1 Pro and considering the upgrade. The OLED looked a little brighter but I don’t think it worth the 300 dollars upgrade. Plus the biggest downside was buying another Magic Keyboard for 349 which almost cost the same as the M3 PRO.
Honestly 12" it’s convenient but 15" it’s gonna be so big u can’t hold it with our case or stand
I have the M2 IPad Pro 12.9 from 2020 and it still works GREAT
Coming from a tab s9 ultra, I don’t want a 15 inch. It’s too big for a tablet imo. The 14.6 on the ultra was uncomfortable to use to be honest.
I like of feel like they should have bumped up the 11'' to a 12'' so they hit the sweet spot. Right now, there's such hard decision to make between the 11'' size, and the 13'' inch. I picked up the 13'', but I'm seeing if I like carrying it around, and using it to watch content.

No it does not because they relocated the magnets on the new keyboard, they no longer line up with the location on older iPads. Will it fit yes, will it stay attached no.
That’s just a bullshit excuse for you to upgrade to a newer M4 just to get the better magic keyboard.
It’d be nice if they made new keyboards for the other models. I don’t want a new IPad. I have an unlocked 12.9 M1 with tons of accessories, and I love mines. I just want a black keyboard with function keys so I don’t have to take my laptop to class. Other than that. I am not paying $4k for 3 items and insurance. I will see if Logitech will make a new keyboard folio for the m1 iPad pro or another company. I am so sick of Apple.

I would’ve liked larger Pros with the same 16:10 aspect ratio the MacBook Airs use. Content watching would’ve been so much better.

I did about a month ago it’s nothing short of acceptional 👍 very fast, good battery life , great for videos
The only advantage to my 4th generation iPad Pro is the display. The pencil “pro” is a gimmick too…And if they want to be honest, they will tell you that they lock most of their new features for older models just to force you “upgrade”. But it’s not really “upgrade”, when the older devices do the same…
I went from 12.9 m2 to 11 m4. It feels like a toy compared to but it’s appreciate once I get over that feeling. I’m already using it outside a Magic Keyboard more than I did with the 12.9. 12.9 id never think about doing that. I’m tempted for the 13. But from what I heard, it is lighter but day to day use, it is still a little hefty.
Can I ask what your reason for upgrading from the M2 is?
@@oliversimpkin1248 I really like oled screens and the mini ips ghosting and input lag bugged me a bit. I wanted the m4 chip as well. And the better battery life then the 12.9 and potentially faster charge times. I thought about going for the 13 since it is now lighter, but I just never used the extra browsing area nor apps to support the reasoning to upgrade. Plus with my trade in at Best Buy I got 660 for my 12.9 which I got open box a year ago for 880. So the upgrade to the 11 inch at 949 came out to be like 350 bucks.
I like 12.9 but it’s big. Can’t use it on car dash to watch stuff for example.

I do own the 2018 i think the m1 it’s the sweet spot for some work but the oled I’ve wanted it for so long but it expensive i have to wait for used ones or go for the m1

when they will release a Firmware that is like the MacOS for this new iPad Pro, i will instantly buy it.. otherwise i will keep my M1 iPad Pro.. it‘s just not worth it imo

5:32 sorry but disagree, for most everyday users an ipad pro 11” is much better tablet, as a laptop desktop replacement 13” or bigger with magic keyboard would be way to go, for price of magic keyboard should have had 2 usb-c thunderbolt ports & extra battery, dual operating system with mac os option with magic keyboard should be optional on ipad pro models for price
