When I realized SynSun casts were just the podcast over a game of DoTA, I just listened to all their casts and had the best 2 weeks.

The last Dreamleague was some of the consistently best dota I think I've ever seen in a tournament
Im suprised to hear Sunsfan saying that he felt it a grind in DL groupstage, cause I for sure couldnt tell from the casts! Nothing bad about Cap and SvG but Sunsfan and Synderen casting makes me enjoy any game.
It's pretty astounding how many epic games they got. They've cemented themselves as my favorite casting pair ever. A lot of games had a lot of empty space, but it never felt that way with them casting.
Nothing personal towards them but I do not enjoy Cap and SvG.
@@user-qj6vg9uv4sI think they just get a bit too negative/sarcastic and both have similar style. They are both good individually but probably as a duo are a bit too tonally similar. Sunsfan and synderen are more balanced with Sunsfan being a bit of the snarkier one, bringing some light humor and Synd being more neutral/analytical and playing off the humor.

the dreamleague games were actually really decent to watch, but yeah hope there is a patch to swap up the game. however it feels the game time is long because how good the teams have gotten. that a 5k gold lead isnt insurmountable and if they force it they know they are giving the opponent the chance to comeback. i feel the only way the game could be sped up would be to make it less punishing to lose mid game fights but as a spectator the comebacks are cool too. maybe make it harder to control the map without forcing highground
If thats the banner update, then cleave heroes and items will become meta, as well as illusion heroes will be pick in all 5 positions, and rush maelstrom or mjollnir meta, wyvern and echantress ags shard will be pick or ban, and also animals or circus heroes will become mega
It's funny you didn't have a comparison as to how the population of the greater Copenhagen area compares to the rest of Denmark because the most apt comparison would be the size of Phoenix/Mesa/Scottsdale in relation to Arizona.
Dota needs a game mode that has no coms at all (no voice, no pings, no tips), no MMR, but also no reports, just Dota. People became paranoid about reports because people abuse reports all the time. Reports made the community focus on judging others for what they think is not their best instead of playing their best themselves. It also weaponized coms in all ways, including voice coms for calling for reports and venting frustration by talking about the past and flaming, which is very distracting and even tilting for some.

I've been hearing people cry about "power creep" for decades but I've never heard anyone explain what the actual problem with it is. It doesn't affect balance and it doesn't affect game time, so what is the issue? That players have too much fun if they have more abilities and more items?
TI last year was 20 teams, not 18, so that is FOUR less teams. Funny that Riyadh now suddenly is also 20 teams.
TI and Riyadh will be merged as soon as the new Esports Stadium is finished in Qiddiya which was announced as the official city-partner.

Loved the casts man, these long games without anything happening wouldn't be bearable without comedy casting, everyone did a great job with that and I hope the meta changes soon because the games become really boring after minute 40.
Dota is definitely the most toxic game and Cs is the game with the most assholes (they usually still play). Lies in the nature of the game and the crowd it attracts. Everyone in Dota thinks they know how to properly play and most ppl focus on the mistakes of others while not seeing their mistakes. Couple that with the amount of cooperation required, the complexity of decisions, length of a single game, how much time players invest into the game and the self understanding of the players and you got a proper toxicity banger.
just add a surrender option in dota or a kick option then a bot takes over. not really much you can do

If you want Dota to lose more players, then definitely introduce a hero that just takes complete control of your character. Removing player agency to that extent is definitely a gaming no no.

i think hots way more toxic than dota, but theres way fewer tools to grief compared to dota , somebody who griefs in dota has like 10 ways to grief, while in hots all u can do is either do nothing or feed to grief

Valve needs to stop banning like 10 % of the heroes. There is no more tilting than getting hyped to play dota with a certain hero. Like invoker or whatever and it than gets banned randomly. I lost motivation to play, before it has even started.. i cant be that i have to play 4 games before i get the hero i want to play. And maybe reduce game length. Toxic aaand long games hurt too much
Toxicity of Dota 2 community is not even close to Valorant, Overwatch, CS, LoL and the most toxic community i ever meet which is Rocket League community. RL community dont have breaks at all and Psyonix only bans for only few insulting words in chat like reta**, u can cheat, boosting, smurf, troll and u will be fine, only chance to get ban is by insult someone hard. xd

I think after a while of playing for many hours everyday, the game loses it's magic and it becomes a grind to keep going. In this state it's easy to point to any reason like the toxic community instead of being honest and admiting to all the true reasons.
As streamer not only the community in game but your viewer can be really toxic. Even if a viewer critizises you only for a single time, maybe even rightly so, you have to deal with it. With thousands of viewers everyday for hours you get a lot of shit and with already a thin skin...
It's his work as a streamer. I like Grubby but I don't feel really bad for him. We all have to deal with shitty jobs and annoying colleagues or customers
