When she entered mystic falls the memories actually should've came back. Also this kiss makes no sense. She goes from saying Caroline's mom almost died in her arm's to kissing him. Like what does he have to do with her mom.😕 Ik julie plec had to have them " get back together " some type of way bc nina was leaving the show and damon and elena were end game... but this made no sense.🙄 She could've done a more heart-felt personal scene with them two and then had them kiss but this was not it.
So at that point she fell in love with him twice. She literally had her memory of the first time around wiped from her and mind and they still manage to jump start their love. That apparently is a display of proof that they have chemistry. And honestly she is the best thing for him. Not to mention she kind of brought Stefan and Damon closer together. Stefan probably would have split after Damon killed their nephew if Elena wasn't in the picture. So Elena sort of kept them together like super glue.

They not only switched off his humanity to the point he didn't have any feelings for her, they have Sybil taking up his memories, and he still found his way back to Elena. That's love. Aside from their kiss, I like this scene because of how proud Damon is of Elena for saving Liz's life.

Trying to solve the problem that Caroline put her mother on btw! Then when it wasn't working she tried to do rcp even after the doctor gave up. Elena didn't! Liz survived. She leaves the room shocked and it all takes her to the thought of how fragile life is and then she kisses Damon. How is it possible you haters find a way to hate on her when she is always trying so help and save her friends and there's literally nothing wrong with kissing Damon in this scene its literally even more meaningful. Shut the f*ck up omg.
