for the first story, that guy would probably lose his head to find out that my stepdad not only cooks for my mom but he literally brings her any and everything she asks for from the kitchen even if he’s busy, i honestly would say that’s just how he shows affection (that’s his love language)

Wow, I REALLY like this! Especially when I heard the vegan story, I was going to blame the cousin. But pointing out how rude and immature the language was--now that was a good point!
I think for the vegan one it's more an EITAH situation. If the animals are being properly cared for there are certain products that the animal would produce regardless of human interference. For instance, eggs are produced naturally by chickens and if they are unfertilised they are not and will never be a living creature. Sheep have been domesticated to a point that they NEED to be shorn for their own health. The cousin sounds like they are unwilling to accept instances such as the above and would vilify these things. The OP definitely didn't need to say what they did and it was them responding in exasperation. I don't think it's as big of a deal as the cousin turned it into because if they had been acting reasonably then it wouldn't have escalated to this point and the OP may naturally have come to a decision to apologise upon reflecting. I understand the OPs reluctance to apologise when the cousin keeps escalating as I too would feel that if I apologised I would be allowing bullying tactics to prevail.
She shoulda broke off the engagement when they started dating bc he’s 30 and she’s 20 lmao. How long were they dating before? Either he was dating an underaged child or they got engaged too soon lol
