@@powerpopaholic876 Sorry to disappoint, but no it is not. I was there in the audience, front row, eight feet from Sammie, close enough to hear her without the mic. She sings in tune, as do the other two ladies. They all grew up in church choirs, and two of them studied Professional Voice at Belmont U in Nashville. You don't get into private art school in a Voice major without first demonstrating you can sing in tune.
This is the result of many hours of dedicated practice and hard work. Remember that all these people have other lives and most have other jobs. Fantastic.
Listen up folk's. Wonder what real music sounds like ?? Just listen to these guys. No Autotune, Just real talent. God bless you all, Jim

What I've been saying for years - I ran out of superlatives to describe the harmonies, lead vocals, and rock solid backing from the fossils so now I just add a comment to say so.

The entire group is made up of musicians. There are no persons who were selected solely becuase they were just cute. This group is solely real musicians, and they make very good music together.

@@kevinkelley3657The band was formed specifically to highlight the 2 cute girls who could really sing Sammie and Maggie. Tims full time band for 20+ years was the Mustangs. Now this little "side project" is in its 13th year.
We’re still here listening and loving the music so please don’t stop , I find your music so refreshing.
I always look forward to Maggie's smiles as well as Darwin's musical genius. Chase is a powerful voice and she has a captivating smile as well when it's available.

F&F's star was rising quickly just before March 2020. The last couple years shot them into the heavens. God gave us all a great gift to get by. :)
Their vocals are simply top tier and so is their instrumentation ... I'm always impressed ...
These old tunes, my tunes, just takes me back to ‘the old beach’ - 17 years old - blasting on the radio, all my friends playing fresbee or swimming or whatever.
So glad I’ve found a band who put a fresh coat of paint on my youth and does the music justice.
This band, F&F, is ‘my band’.

Obviously the foxes are a revelation but I can't get enough of Tim's lead vocals, so damn good! Man, this group is special.

Hands down, the BEST COVER BAND in America!!!! It's uncanny how much Tim sounds like Dennis Doherty and the ladies' harmonies are gorgeous and very tight! I never tire of going to their CZcams channel and re-re-re-listening to all their videos. 😍

Ladies, Gentlemen and team, this is a phenomenal performance. The Mamas and the Papas were truly a wonderful group and I enjoyed their music. As good as they were, you had to love Cass. She was something else. What voices they all had.

Fact: John, Denny, Cass and Michelle were great. Music, lyrics and harmonies 5 stars. However you folks are outstanding. Whatever the song EVERYTHING is spot on. Continued great success from a long time listener in suburban Chicago. I am in awe. STILL!!!

My lord, I love this band. Watching them sort of ‘grow up’ on CZcams has allowed a connection with them and other fans.
They’ve never lost that personal connection and never will. As a fan I can’t help but cheer them on.

I was at that concert, the first one, on Thursday night, in December, and it was all simply amazing. Better than I could have hoped for and every song for me was as good as or better than the original. This whole group is just something very special, every member, and they are my favorite cover band...period. I also liked those couple of originals as well from the concert. This song was just as good as I remember. Thank you F&F.
Thank God for the songwriters who wrote the original material ....weren't we lucky to live in an era that will never be replicated. ..ever..

dont…oh yes! I was twelve when The Beatles hit the US in ‘64 and suddenly music was important to me. Then all the amazing music that followed seemed to just flow in and out like it all just belonged there. Of course looking back now we realize what an extraordinary time of music it was!

As good as everyone on stage is, whoever they have mixing and recording is equally talented.
Their sound man since 2014 is Doug Godbold.(Toby did it before that) Tim does the video editing (9 cameras used) and mixing for the youtube videos. Runs it past the Patreon patrons and Doug before the videos are released.

Excellent. This brings back memories of late 60s AM radio and the Haight Ashbury vibes from the Mamas and Papas. As a teenager then I saw them on multiple tv variety shows back then and on my hand held good ole transistor radio. Good times...Thanks guys for all you do...

@@sharonwilson7077 Rick Meeder on bass on this one and most of the concert. Ross was able to fly down from Virginia and play on a half dozen, had to hurry home the next day to play in his band for New Years.
Toby wasn't visible much, but he was doubling much of what Darwin was doing. They play really well together.
This wasn’t a solo by Darwin, it was a duet with Toby. You’ll see that if you watch the studio version.

Mamas and Papas are the bench mark along with Abba, because there harmonys are so good, this song just shows how good this group are.

Live. It was a live performance. That was mind-numbingly good. Lead, harmonies, guitars, everything was spot on. And done live. And someone else mentioned how good the sound mixing was... Wow.

It's only over this past couple of days or so that I have discovered Foxes and Fossils, over at the 'I Can't Let Go' video on the channel. I follow a band local here in Derbyshire, UK, Godfrey's Grit 'n' Soul Band, as their 'Fifth Beatle', as they say (the resident dancer) and they occasionally put on outdoor gigs in the summer, so that 'I Can't Let Go' performance was very reminiscent of those events. This very seasonal performance of 'California Dreamin'', indoors in the depth of winter, also reminds me very much of GGnSB as the song is in their repertoire and very impressive it was, too.
The harmony is incredible. You guys are a national treasure!🤩
