I can't believe I have witnessed most of ate aellijon's life through her videos. No need to put oil in the water before cooking pasta… just salt the water and stir the pasta for a bit after you first drop it in to prevent them from sticking together. Save a little of the pasta water when you drain the pasta… Also, add your tomato paste after you sauté your onions, garlic and bell peppers… cooking the tomato paste until it darkens a bit in the hot flavored oil will lessen the acidity and intensify the tomato flavor. This will make the tomato sauce you add after taste even better. Add some of the pasta water you saved (instead of plain water), the starch in the pasta water gives the sauce some body and helps the sauce stick to your pasta when you mix it before eating.
