Summer in Berlin. Jonas is planning a trip through the little known area of the Uckermark in preparation for a photography project. He invites his best friend, Phillip, to come along. They haven’t met since the time they spent together in London. So they pack up their Mercedes camper and take off across uncharted territory, stopping whenever they see something they like, taking pictures and generally enjoying a laid-back road trip.

Poor Boris, I do feel bad for him, but he was a necessary hurdle Jonas needed to cross to come to terms with his feeling for Philip. I also liked how the movie didn't really label Jonas sexuality. He could have been gay and closeted, bisexual, or simply just fell in love with his best friend and only realized it after Philip started getting close with Boris. Really good love story!! :) :)

I really liked this movie! The actors did a great job and this is one of my favorite moments from the movie. When Boris tells Jonas he and Phillip slept together you can instantly see his (Jonas’) mood change. His was Angry, Devastated and Jealous. I like that he tried to hide it but couldn’t. It’s such a relatable reaction because I dare say there are many of us that can empathize with what he felt in that moment.

beside the gay theme, this is just beautifully shot. Very atmospheric, you kind of want summer to come sooner when you see it. I understood it like that ...when Polish guy joined, there is a scene in the their van where the photographer guy is chatting with him, and they look at the map, Phillip is driving, but then stops, gets out, and madly leans to the bus...He was jealous. Jealous that the photographer guy was having fun with Boris. Even thought he knows his friend is not gay. But then, it turns out that Boris is...and I thinks Phillip just used him to make his friend jealous. Maybe not quite consciously, but It was kind of payback. So they became fuck buddies with Phillip. And photographer guy suddenly realised his feelings...and that it is more than friendship. I really loved that desperate kiss in the shower. It was screaming : you fool! I love you! It hurts to see you with another man. Here I am...can you love me?
Basically...Boris was third wheeling from the beginning...

I feel bad for Boris, but I don't think Phillip used him. I think Phillip just realized that Boris was into dude and went with it. But when Jonas kisses him in the shower you can see the complete shock on Phillip's face. It took a pretty big moment of Jonas kissing him for him to get over the "is this real" confusion. And then when he starts kissing him back Jonas pulls away. But their history beats hookup, and they know Boris has to go. Jonas starts to tell him, but Phillip intercedes as the one who had the trist to tell him it was time to go.
