Şehrazat (Bergüzar Korel) is an aspiring architect who is in desperate need for money to pay for the treatment of her son, Kaan, who is suffering from leukemia. After pleading to borrow money from several sources, she is stuck with her boss, Onur (Halit Ergenç), who agrees to give her the money she needs for Kaan's treatment on the condition that she spends a night with him. With this condition in place, everything will take a new and different turn in the life of Şehrazat.

I totally agree with other viewers. This is a classic among classics.
Anyone not watching the 2nd or 3rd series is missing out! I've watched it in the Turkish original on Utube without subtitles, it so interested me, and the acting alone gets you understand maybe not all the nuances but more than just the gist of what's happening. 1001 nights is really a great series ❤️🌹😊😔🌹❤️😊 The story as a whole contains the gambit of life.

Another great show on CZcams, Soz The Oath - EXCELLENT in all categories, captivating. I was fortunate to see 1-4 episodes with E/S, so I'm familiar with the characters. I've been watching without E/S, I'm up to ep 18. There are 50 episodes - HELP! Why do they air so many excellent Turkish shows with partial or no E/S? Fazilet Hanim, another excellent one. I'm a very frustrated viewer. If we have access to Turkish TV, E/S must be provided. Thank you! Yolanda McGee a huge fan!!!!

PLEEEZE, give us (USA) English Subtitles to understand & finish this wonderful Turkish TV series. Great acting, totally captivating in every way. I felt the chemistry between Halit & Burg, before I knew their story. I'm waiting for Netflix to finish what they started, the complete series. I'm so frustrated with Netflix & CZcams. I love the Turk's stories & actors are superb. Thank you!

Binbir Gece is on IZAURA TV cannel in Hungary. At the beginning of the 9th episode Mihriban is telling a poem to Kaan, and when they translated the poem, the Hungarians used some lines /verses from a beautiful Hungarian folk song ( They say, that many folk songs are the same in the Turkish and in the Hungarian languages):
"... A szerelem szélesebb a tenger vizénél,/ Árvább vagyok a lehulló levélnél..."
{ ...Love is wider than the water of the sea,/ I am more orphan(ed) than the falling leaf…} .
I've heard of that poem in malay and Somalian

I went to how to get it for season 2 and 3 and I can't find the order to watch it, it seems to have random episodes mixed together. I am wondering what happened after she ran off from her wedding????

The second part is ridiculous. Whoever wrote the script has very little imagination. I don't care if Netflix doesn't show the next series
I enjoy all the stories between Onur & Shehrazad irregardless of sad or happy scenes.
