To say this video took 200 hours would not be an understatement and would not be an overstatement. It took around about that long, 3 weeks from front to back. Hope you enjoyed the hardest I have ever worked on a video, I consumed a total of 26 cans of mother epic blue swell and saw 63 Sony Vegas crashes during my travels. I personally sorta like long levels that don’t call themselves travel levels a lot more than travel levels since they tend to feel more free floating

Honestly, my favorite travel level in the game has to be Obsolete Travel II because unlike all the other travel levels that have 5+ minutes of Easy Demon gameplay which because of their length turns them into Medium & Hard Demons, Obsolete Travel II actually has easy enough gameplay spread out over its length that it actually justifies being an Easy Demon instead of anything harder that would make me lose my sanity playing it. I really don’t like playing XXL levels but there are very few that fall into my skill range anyways.

The reason I hate this level is because I was about to fluke it from 43, then I died at 95. And then I died in the last 10% another 4 times.
One of the funniest videos I’ve ever seen, the whole bus is looking at me as in an idiot because how many many times did I burst out laughing.

fun fact: deep travel actually kinda follows the story presented in the original lyrical version of ugly fuel. if you listen to, or even just read (although listening will help you link the lyrics to the parts better), the lyrics, you'll probably understand the linking of parts more
as for the ending, it sorta links deep travel to hypnotic travel, following the relationship that both the levels and their songs have
EDIT: oh yeah, you should listen to the original lyrical version of the scrap boy (the song hypnotic travel uses the instrumental version of) as well, to possibly understand hypnotic travel a bit better, as well as to understand ugly fuel a bit better. or don't, i'm not a cop

I personally love XXL levels. I believe it is a nice way to put a lot of different decoration styles and atmospheres. It is not everyone's cup of tea I enjoy them.

tbh i like XXL levels, but only when those can make you feel included in the level
if those are the same throughout the entire thing, there's nothing too special
like at least dark travel/odyssey, eternelle vehemence or the eschaton can play with the intensity to make a level feel like something that makes it worth playing through the whole thing rather than just 3 shorter levels merged together
just to have that progression while not having complete dogwater balancing

I plan on making a 10 minute long extreme, breaking the record set by light travel (yes, sinister silence is not the longest demon) wish me luck! I'm also waiting for 2.2 though, since its apparently coming out soon. Some people might think its impossible but when you think of it, lots of creators have made well over 10 minutes worth of gameplay and deco across multiple levels, so I should be able to make 10 minutes, just in one level.

Amazing video but I strongly disagree with Dream Travel’s “Good” rating. The gameplay is filled with chokepoints and bugs. The ball with the hairy caves barely works on mobile, and the dual and bossfight are five times harder than the rest. It’s the first time I’ve ever dropped a level, and I have *really* low standards. Anyway, nice job with the video :)
should have called it decent, i think i just played a lot of good travel levels around then and it made dream travel look a lot better than it was

Instead of using the word "atmosphere" to describe a level's substance, people should instead refer to that as how a level feels to look at or play. You wouldn't want to say that Black Blizard has a great atmosphere, you would instead say that it's substance feels really good to look at. Though I will say, when people use the word atmosphere, it's just another word to describe the surroundings or the environment. Words can have multiple meanings, so do with that what you will.
