Update: I bought some Durock plate mount stabilizers to put on this keyboard for my wife to use and they sound WAY better. Available at the affiliate link here: prevailkeyco.com/?ref=portly
Make sure you get PLATE mount, not PCB mount/screw-in.
This channel is criminally underrated

Update: the Nimbleback now comes with foam, making it sound a lot better
Love love your videos, calming, well thought out, great work 👍
Really solid newbie custom board for the price!!! I love this blasted 65% and the extra usb ports were so fascinating
Dude. So many little bits of information in your review, that other reviews just don't have. Super appreciated!
Man your editing and transitions are so well done!
Oh my god. Thank you so much for uploading this video. I just got into mechanical keyboards and got my first gaming keyboard the ltc nimbleback like two weeks ago and I just wanted to modify it. I am planning on changing the key caps to the YMDK carbon 108 key set
thank you for your creativity
Dang it! I wanted to see a foam mod on it! Love this board. Just put Tecsee Purple Pandas in it. And I could not be happier. Will be picking up some durock stabs. Thanks again for the great video!
why changing the stabs
Looool "never made it as a wise man" .... "this is how you remind meeee"
I have a ltc nimbleback it is so cool
Thanks for the vid! do you think it will be good for using with Mac?
I got this one on the way and plan to mod it . The usbs on the back made me choose this it was a toss up between this and one of the rk boards
I downloaded the drawings of the keyboard from their official website and I remodeled this keyboard successfully. It's great to support buyers to transform their own keyboard!!
Thank you. Great information. I bought this kb and have found several keycap sets with the 1.75 shift key and the 1.0 Alt key on Amazon and at KBDFans. My first mechanical, although I have been using IBM Model M SpaceSavers for years. I see the LTC is out of the brown switch version, so I got the blue, planning to change them out to some Gateron or Cherry switches.
Sorry. The shift key is 1.5, I think.
Do you know any specific names? I'm thinking of getting this keyboard but I want to purchase everything I need at once to mod it
The fucking Nickelback joke killed me.
How much do you need to spend to make this sound decently better? New switches, some mods, some grease, possibly new stabilizers. I'm new to this but I'm really wondering if it just makes more sense to spend $150cad ish on a keychron V series
0:48 👌
Ingotnit a while ago I have nodded it out icecandys in there annit sounds like legos walking it feels great
Anyone know where I can find some pudding pbt keycaps that fit this board?
I thought the keyboard was well made, that was until I ran into this video review. Bravo sir. Subbed!
It is a $50 keyboard, and as such, it is VERY well made, and able to be greatly improved.
@@ronstar7027 huh?
What size do i get for replacement stabilizers??
Was seriously bummed out when I went to Amazon Canada's website and it was listed for $120 😑
I’m in Australia and I paid $100, I feel you immensely
Hey, I don't know if you will see this, but I need to find pictures of the inside of the casing of that keyboard, I can't access mine right now and I'm trying to get the case part 3D modeled. Let me know if you can help
best youtuber eveeeeeeeeeeer , like you're always entertaining us , keep up the amazing work king and one day you'll make it to the top inshallah
what are those things right above the arrow keys on the plate
Anyone know the name of the song that was mainly in the video?
Which keyboard is better gamakay k66 or ltc nimbleback nb 681?
Can you separate the plate from the pcb?
Hi, I was wondering if there are any other budget keycaps out there that would fit the board?
There are a bunch on Amazon nowadays if you search “cherry profile keycaps”. One brand that comes to mind I think is called Gliging
What were those precut "bandaid" mod you were using ?
Don’t remember what exact ones I used but look up keyboard stabilizer pads and you’ll find various ones. I might have links in the description to places you can buy some too
@@Portly Thanks, I appreciate the quick reply ! Cheers
what type of keycaps will fit this keyboard , i’m planning on buying it but i want to change they keycaps but i’ve heard not all keycaps fit on any keyboard? :)
You’ll want basically any set that will fit most 65 or 75 percent keyboards. Look into Akko, GMK, Drop, PolyCaps, ePBT, etc. a little expensive but worth it imo and will be compatible. Highly recommend PolyCaps
I have one but the apostrope was not working
Are they better than rk68
I'm not sure it's recommended to dip toes into keyboards, mechanical or not.
Does this keyboard support macros?
Can i remap the delete and insert keys to home and end in the software?
Yup
Would it work on mac?
What switches would you recommend for this keyboard?
It’s all preference honestly. I’m a fan of linear switches but I like tactile switches too. Whatever switch you do get, keep in mind if they’re not transparent or made for RGB, they will pretty much block out the RGB lighting in this board lol
as it supports 3 and 5 pins switches does that mean i can put any switch into this keyboard?
Outemu switches are not compatible but anything else with 3 or 5 pins is
got this for 10$ on walmart
Are you able to foam mod the case?
It should be possible with this one. Feels and sounds like there is plenty of space inside the case
is the website safe?
Is the spacebar mounted upside down?
I flipped the space bar, yeah
What type of switches should I get for this keyboard??? 3 or 5 pin
Either one would work but 5 pin is more stable and most switches have 5 pins
I don’t know if i got lucky but my stock stabilizers on this keyboard sound better then your lubed ones.
Ooo nice. I’m hoping they improved them because that would be even better
I have lubed my stabilizers now and it was the first time too. My left shift key and the spacebar sound great, but the enter and backspace didn’t sound good and i will fix it some other day. It was actually fun to lube my stabs. After lubing my spacebar was very thocky which i wanted. It was a fun experience!
where can i buy your glasses?
I just got some prop glasses on Amazon for like $10 lol
@@Portly lol okay .. I like the frames they look like "ray bans wayfarer" I'll take a look on Amazon.
Hey! I just got this keyboard in the mail. I want to fully mod it. But here is my concern, I went to the official LTC site to download the software for the keyboard. As I downloaded it Windows told me the software was severly dangerous and a TROJAN virus! And it refused to let me download it. Can anyone help me out or tell me what to do?
I do know various software from smaller brands like this often get picked up as a possible virus, mainly because it’s unfamiliar software. I installed it from their site without any issues that I’m aware of, but if you’re unsure, it’s probably best to do some research before you decide to download it.
@@Portly Alright I will do that, thanks for the advice.
@@Portly I received an email back from their support about this. They confirmed that it is fine to download and send two alternative links. I have managed to successfully download the software and it works great!
why flip the spacebar??
Something I used to do because it felt more ergonomic but I stopped not too long ago
le gars c steelors version anglais

Lmao bat shit switches
I have this keyboard. I could not get the software to run on either of two computers. Came up with missing VCRUNTIME140.dll, and missing MSVCP140.dll. I installed these dll files in both System32 and SysWOW64 folders. No luck. NOW, it get Ocx000007b error message. Any ideas?
