Reminder that ogryns actually consistently beat space marines if they can make it to melee, and only struggle at range because they rarely if ever aim.

Do you have a source for this? It’s not impossible for this to occur considering ogryns are much bigger and stronger however I haven’t seen anything stating ogryns consistently beat space marines. Space marines aren’t stupid so if they engage an enemy in melee that they know they themselves can’t over power they will take them down tactically. They’re not just trained in ranged combat but hand to hand combat and melee weapon combat. So I imagine 9 times out of 10 the space marine is winning. Also it wouldn’t make a difference if ogryns could aim they’d be taken out before they even realised that the space marines was there. To be honest it seems you’re underestimating and undercutting that of which a space marine is capable off. Which leads me to doubt your words that they apparently consistently beat space marines.

I love the accent this veteran voice has. It sounds mostly English but occasionally there’s hints of this New Zealand/Australian/South African vowel shift. Like when she says “Dead” in this clip, it’s kind of a “deed” sound.

CSM and guard are an interesting interaction. On one hand, guardsmen are probably executed (if they survive) afterwards since Astartes are treated as angels and seeing them corrupted goes against a lot of imperial propaganda. On the other hand, they still need guardsmen to fight and protect and i suppose it's not really a secret what happened to Cadia.

In commissar Cain 3rd book guardsmen face world-eaters on several separate occasions, and thats just a tip of the iceberg, cuz in the finale of the book they straight up banish a slaanesh demon in its summoning chamber, and they aren't executed after that

Not necessarily. In Pandorax the first half of the book was Death guard versus the Catachan Jungle Fighters, and early on, a mere four Jungle Fighters ambushed three Plague Marines, basically fighting them 1v1, and killed them all with no losses. It wasn't until later when daemons showed up when Grey Knights and Dark Angels arrived to even the fight. Even then, none of the remaining Guard regiments were executed. They just had their minds wiped, but they were even given time to pay final respects to their fallen comrades.
