I was a young boy when i started watching Johnny. Im 64 and still can't get enough of him . Class and a comedic genius. He always tried to make his guest look good. He wouldn't believe this world now
So true
I'm with you I am 65 and I was really young when I sat on the top of the stairs to watch him on TV my parents never caught me peaking 😂 CZcams has a ton of his old shows Rodney Dangerfield was hilarious google when Sinatra and Don ricklese were the guests and Rickles made fun of Sinatra hanging with so called mafia figurs 😂😂😂
59…same here
51 years old and remember watching in the 80's and now to see prior shows is really a treat. Johnny is just great and so very much missed.
Johnny Carson was and always shall be the G.O.A.T. of late night entertainment!! ❤
Two giants of comedy. It was worth staying up late when Carson did the Tonight Show.
Bob, Johnny and Don Rickles were all very close friends. Glad that Bob is still with us.
Bob, in his ninties, is still with us.
He and Johnny had such love & respect for one another.
Mr. Carson, you are missed. Irreplaceable.👍👍
Bob spoke for everybody that night . I never wanted Johnny to leave . I wish I had a digital video recorder way back when .
"Dynamic Duo" who proved timeless comedy!
I learned tonight that Bob’s wife, Ginnie, who he mentioned in this video passed away in 2023. He married her in 1963 and she was always smiling in the numerous photos of her I saw online. I’ve always been a fan of Bob’s work from his stand up acts and records through to his work as Professor Proton. He’s clearly a wonderful person and I’m happy for him that he had a wife he loved for over 60 years. That’s rare these days, unfortunately. RIP, Ginnie!
Ginnie is responsible for giving Bob the idea for the iconic Newhart finale.
@@michaelj.r457 I didn’t know that. I found the episode online and watched it tonight. Thanks for the information.
😢❤
One of the greatest finalies of all time . Shows the great chemistry between Bob and Suzanne plesheet and I love making fun of dallas,s dream season
Comedy is about perfect timing. And Newhart was💯%. He used pauses and could always read the room. Bob Newhart was the greatest.
The great ole days. I miss them so 🎉much
God, I've always loved Bob Newhart since I was a kid. Love Bob as much as Johnny 😂 Two all-time class-act comics!
Love these two. ❤❤
Loved these two. Man, I miss Johnny...
Love him! Such a hilarious & unique style!
I loved your shows Johnny Carson and all your guests ! Thank you sooo much!
Mr. Newhart my all time # 1 Fave!
He's a great guy#
Johnny was so good.... ❤❤
God, I always get scared when they share clips of Bob.
Exactly the Straight Right.
Saw this and within seven seconds I had to Immediately Check. O.o o.O 0.0 😬😐😑😐😬
Oh boys.. same here ….
Me too, he is in his 90s.
Same for me! Johnny was AMAZING and Bob is a true legend!!! Two of the greatest comedians ever to share their talent. Bob could deliver a funny line without ever opening his mouth! His expressions said it all!!! 😂
Why?
I love these two!
When late night TV had class and pizzazz and its host was king.
Oh, brothers, I sorely miss those days. On a positive note at least we have this great channel, thank you. 🙏🏼 An old man subscriber -
Edit: Ah, forgot to Cheers 🍻 for Bob, love him, a true survivor and a fine loving man.
Top class comedy we will never witness again.
Awesome clips!
Finally, after all these years. Of all the celebrity guest reactions to Carson retiring back in 1992, Bob Newhart has my second all-time favorite with that memorable moment at 1:35. FTR: Bette Midler is of course #1 on that list.
Wow, I haven't laughed so loud in a long time....
I watched this one when it aired!
Bob Newhart and Mel Brooks the very last of their generation. Dick Van Dyke comedic actor.
Don't go Johnny don't go! I used to watch The Tonight Show ever since I was a teenager. Carson was the best, no comparison to the idiots that host talk shows these days.
2 great gifted men.
Back when we had real entertainment.
Lordie, how I loved Bob! And I remember those clips very well. Classic! 😊
That's the loudest I've ever heard Bob Newhart yell. 😅😅😅😅
Bob Newhart still going strong at 94!
Jimmy, are you taking notes?
He's still looking for his pencil.
Jimmy is too busy getting leftist talking points to stay in feigned adulation by the media. Willing idiot, he be.
Jimmy Kimmel or Jimmy Fallon
ThankYou4Sharing!!! ❤ 🕊 Lol 😆 🤣 😂 😹 MuchLove
The Hungarian on the Ted Mack amateur hour--one of the funniest jokes I've ever heard! Still LMAO! Much gratitude to those gentlemen for bringing laughter to my world.
You gotta love Bob Newhart.
Wow great guest line up for the week
I really miss Johnny and The Tonight Show. The late shows are unwatchable propagandist productions today. Thankful for these clips and the memories.
I want a nickle for every time JC says: "Someone told me..."
Loved Johnny since I was 12 yrs old babysitting my two young brothers when my parents went out. Here I was feeling like a queen sitting in their bed, when bros were asleep, in my moms negligee and satin robe - at 11 yrs old, in 1964.
Two of my favorite shows were Newhart and Cosby Show; they were both well-written, timeless, and proved you can be funny without swearing, sexual innuendo, or being crass.
Would be interesting to hear Bob say something about the times we live in now
Bob: "It didn't make for a good program."
It made for a GREAT program! Bob and Johnny - two real masters of their crafts.
I really miss Bob Newhart he was a scream ! 👍
he's still alive
Newhart and Carson were really close pals and that comes shining through in this video.
Please upload a monologue or ep with original intro sequence pleaaasseeeeeee please pls pls plalslslss
Yes, it's just not the same, how they do it on Antenna TV.
Wait, what? Lyle Lovett? Where is that performance?
My Mom told me that when my Grandfather was younger, he had quite a resemblance to Bob Newhart and would be stopped by people thinking he was him. When I looked at pics. of Grandpa from the 50s and 60s, yeah, definitely some resemblance, not so much in later years.
Hey my name is Charlie , Do you have anything for white walls ?
😂
You can see the inlfuence Bob had on Sasha Baron Cohen with his characters.
CBS put Bob Newhart's new series on a Friday night, which had become a bad night for almost any show to survive by the '90s. ABC was the only network pulling decent Friday night numbers at that time.
Did they always color coordinate??. Never noticed that before
Had the exact same thought!
*STOPPP IT,! ..!*
😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬
Newhart is the only one still alive
Do you remember when things on tv were actually funny?
🥱
Newhart can be funny -but not always.
Man the golden age. Absolute 🗑️ 🤮 now
