One thing about vc upgrading prices that is overlooked by everyone is how, im noticing when I make new builds, I preview all of my main big attributes of my build before I upgrade to see how much vc it would cost, and then after I spend 10 bucks on the build to get my build to a 70 ovr, those prices for the main attribute will be higher than it was before I upgraded, my recent example: I see that when I preview the prices of my driving dunk from a 62 to a 94, it costs 20k vc, pretty decent cost, then I upgrade to a 75 driving dunk while upgrading other things, i spend the vc and I check again, it costs 35k to max out now??? I never hear anyone talking about that
I’ve heard about that before but definitely didn’t take it into account as much 💯, but it’s probably 2K’s way of making you feel like buying VC when you’re getting closer to being done with your build while weighing it out to reach around 375K VC for your 99 overall MyPlayer

2k has been on a decline in popularity since 2k21 next gen dropped. Mediocre gameplay, high entry costs, poor servers/lag/input delay, and removal of convenient things that used to be in the game
This is why I’m only on play now and MyTeam. At least on MyTeam you can reasonably grind your way to being comp I miss the 2k16 days when you could max out all your stats in like half a season on MyCareer or if you wanted to skip the grind shit cost like $20 max. There wasn’t any meta builds or spamming moves cuz your player had the stats to play how you actually wanted

Even if the builds are $10 cheaper the cost of game went up by 10 and the cost of the vc went up by 10 and you lost total attribute, it's 100% a loss. Not to mention you could hit 95 overall with 75k vc in 2k15 and had the mobile apps where you could earn up to 3k vc a day through daily logins till they cut that out
As a free2play person the one thing that really angered me about 2K this year was the mycareer game earnings. You used to get $1k vc from your team contract, they knocked it down to 850vc. So now on HOF settings you could only earn 1.3k vc max with an A+ team mate grade without key game bonus. Before it used to 1.8k per game with A+ grade. 1.8k made it far easier to level your player in less amount of games total.
One other thing about the whole 2k My player that makes you pay... is that you got months not 1 year but months to get the season prizes, emotes, animations, otherwise there GONE!! They don't dump all that was in the game at the beginning of the next game run, so if you don't get your player good quick in the life cycle of the game, you won't have much to customize to make your "MY PLAYER" YOUR! Player
Another thing I noticed is the green or miss shooting style. Yes, is above average players will have no trouble competing, but the casuals, like the little Timmy’s and old heads, will get smacked by this shooting style. I see it all the time in the theater with players shooting 30% from the field with a scoring guard then sell when they aren’t getting the ball. Game doesn’t even cater towards casuals
Been playing 2k si ce the first one. My career or my player was very good until around 2k17. The thing is, if you play 2k year after year how often are you gonna play my player or my career? Eventually it gets played out and you're just doing the same thing on repeat. It be different if you could carry your players over in the new year but its about money. Its insanity to think there would be different results in a game mode thats essentially been the same for almost 10 years. My team is no different either. My eras is the mode I actually enjoy most where you can create your player as well but cant play online. Oh well.😢
2k really took a hit for me when they introduced VC requirement for mycareer. I really enjoyed grinding for skill points. Then it got worse when they required you waste crazy time in the city just to play mycareer.

Literally been this way since 2k18 (I exclude 19 and 20 because those years were decent just broken things like pushing in 19, and 20 was good cus of covid).. Literally gonna wait about a month or 2 this year into 2k to make a build so I can just play off the meta..

I guess we're completely overlooking badges and how that effects your overall. The "Harrison Barnes" comparison makes no sense. Every single year of 2k in the last 5 years has had "demi-god" builds. The builds let's you make very strong builds. Only good point is that vc prices are ridiculous, but they get away with it as a business because people buy it. That will never change.
I deleted 2k about a week ago because i kept getting kicked out at the end of the Finals... Which i Won... I tried 3 times soon as the screen popped up showing my mypoints Vc Ect. I got a screen saying (PLEASE WAIT CONTACTING 2K SERVERS) .

For me, when I upgrade my builds. I upgrade the more useless attributes to lower the price of the main attributes.
