This family probably gets alot of food from nearby humans and could be in combination with a food shortage of their staple diet in the area. With this situation they will take more risks in order to get more food from people.
I love Canadian geese! They're always so friendly, I've always been able to feed and pet them since I was a toddler that can remember. I made friends with one at a park, then found another that was hit by someone and foot was crushed 🥺 someone left em in the road to die, so I moved em and tried to help but they didn't make it, poor baby passed away pretty quick 😭 don't know why I have such a connection to them but they're special to me. ❤️
I go and visit the ducks and Canada Geese at a nearby river every day. There's nothing like having a bunch of them run at you in greeting (even if it's only because they're going to get fed, lol!)
How sweet 💞 I've got just over 50 Canada Geese that come by for breakfast every single morning. I had 19 goslings at one time and they are so precious whenever they spot their human feeder and start running to greet us. I have 2 handicapped geese and I just adore them. I'm only able to tell about 11 of them apart from the others. I LOVE Canada Geese so much 💜

We do same thing but feed them always. We have this geese family for 4 years they come and nest! They are sweet very smart wonderful birds! Not aggressive at all
After I wrote that comment I would also like to add on that me and my husband were lucky enough to have great parents ourselves. Some of our friends were not so lucky. We actually were JUST SAYING that many of our friends growing up would have been better off having geese parents lol. . . But true. I've never seen such great parenting from birds or any animal in my life after the geese family that we had the pleasure of knowing this past year. We miss them something terrible. But we also know wherever they are...their parents would never steer them wrong and they are MUCH SAFER.
This is almost like me in May 2020 when I went looking for geese to feed and found many goslings. The goslings were not quite this friendly but were fearless.
Something like this happened to me at a little pond there was a mom duck with 3 little baby's and they came right over to us but then the mom called her baby's back it was so cute
This reminds me of some ducklings in Indian Lake that I used to hang out with. I used to put my feet in the water and feed them while their mom watched and when I ran out, they would just start nibbling on my toes. It was so fun. I even have a picture somewhere of me being in the water, hand feeding them. They'd get so excited that they'd try to steal it out of my hands. I love birds. 💖
