Brilliant work!!! If you want a paleontology trip of a lifetime for anybody out there, do the Burgess Shale hike in British Columbia( you have to pre-register and pay). Then come to Drumheller Alberta for some hiking and a visit to the amazing Royal Tyrrell Museum. You won't regret either.
Great lecture. One minor point. At 43:30, the slide says that C13/C12 ratios increased. Didn't an earlier slide at 24:00 say the ratios decreased? Thank you.
Spelling, tense, and grammar errors are annoying. 'Phyla' is a plural word. 'Affect' and 'effect' are not interchangeable. I expect these kinds of errors in Asian instructions. Proof reading is a lost art.
Go listen to the English lectures by Professor Karen Nitpicker. She's got some great lectures on really correct topics such as #33: the difference between it's and its. It's 2 hours of non-stop excitement. I'm sure you'd love it!
Fantastic lectures, hidden gems on CZcams.
Deep time history is never boring, Amazing how much we have learned

One possible reason for spiny brachiopods is that the spines were used to prevent sinking in soft sediment, not as defence against predators.
"Mass extinctions are absolutely great because they make it easier to define boundaries on the geological timescale."
