The GOAT just ate 8 acres. MMLP2 was his 8th studio album. An eighth of that was just to make a path and take it to your favorite rapper. He only needed his debut album to get on that GOAT list. Still one of the hardest bars.
I think the reason he carried out the same end rhyme sound for so long is because the movie Groundhog Day was about someone living the same day over and over. He's giving that to you in the form of rhyme scheme. And that's also why the song starts out with moving back and forth from Missouri and Michigan. Every day wakes up and back in Michigan, back to Missouri and then next day back in Michigan. Songs a masterpiece
This is why I watch reactions and the comments. I have heard this song a million times and watched it broke down alot by different people and it always amazes me how I still this many years later catch something I never caught before. Thanks for that damn 😅

My Gawd I love MMLP 2, for its own thing. So many gems on this album.
This track, “baby”, “brainless”, “don’t front”, “headlights”, “legacy”, “rhyme or reason”, and “evil twin” were my favorites from mmlp2. I loved the whole album but I repeated these tracks a very healthy amount of times 😂

Baby is so good. I was actually the first person to start scribing Baby on genius when it first dropped. It was after the deluxe leak. I remember Paul Rosenberg had genius remove the lyrics for all of the deluxe tracks until the official drop. I must have listened to it 100 times that night.
This might be a reach but if you watch a rhyme highlight video that highlights the multisyllable rhymes. You will notice he keeps repeatedly rhyming a certain syllable throughout the entire song kind of like the concept of groundhog day. Which the whole plot of the movie is based on the protagonist living the same day over and over again.
