- Ghana armed forces unveils exoskeleton combat suit for it's personnel. The Kantaka exoskeleton suit is designed to protect soldiers from bullets and explosives on the battlefield. The suit also has built in night vision and microphone to aid in better vision and communication.

Suits resist BB'S...BUT pellets are capable of doing some damage against thin aluminum foil at 40 yards so this poor guys are very sad that they forced them to wear this death traps...

What runs the hydraulic systems to support an exo-suit of that size and if it had redundancy systems in place in case of catastrophic failure? Is it electric, diesel, gasoline? What are the limits the of servomechanisms to not break the limbs of of the operator?

It might just be cheaper cosplay level stuff.. When you look how clumsily they move there's probably no hydraulics involved like in other existing exosuits.

@@IWETROBOTICS yes. There aren't even no hydraulics installed in it. It's just geared motors moving that so called rocket launcher. The users can't even walk normally because the legs are not even powered.

Edit: The guy who made them definitely did a good job with what he had though.
The exoskeletons in the US are mainly for loading missiles and heavy ordinance so you don't need a team of people and a lift, or for nurses to carry patients. It's too slow and clunky to have field applications.
U.S would never waste it's funds to make something impractical. It's better to make flying drones armed with bombs than having a soldier wear an armored exoskeleton walking on the ground waiting to get obliterated by an AC-130 or something similar.

decades back i had a leg brase on my leg. and not many people will have there foot ankle joint in the same build then add in a knee, and hip joints and everything must be made special for each human.

While some Ghanaian tech looks a bit dubious, these exoskeleton suits look like they actually work and have an impressive firepower. These are no sci-fi technologies, but that's a start and they did it.
That helmet tho looks like it's made for export into other countries. The foreign investors will buy them on Wish.
