- Here are few common summer skin conditions and ways to manage them.
✅Heat rash or miliaria occurs due to obstruction of eccrine sweat glands or ducts. This is common in summer and occurs in areas of high humidity.
☑️How to manage
▪️Cold water bath
▪️Calamine based soothing lotion
▪️Wear pure cotton clothing
if severe itching then please visit your dermatologist for treatment
✅Sun burn occurs when skin is exposed to excess high intensity UV radiation. UVB is responsible for burns.
☑️how to manage
▪️Apply soothing aloe Vera gel
▪️Do not rub ice directly as this can make injury worse
▪️avoid hot water or shower on that area
▪️moisturise with a bland emollient 3 times a day
▪️protect the area from sun.

▪️Sun protection is most important. Regular sunscreen application, avoid mid day sun and practise sun avoidance.
▪️Gentle chemical exfoliants with moisturisers help

Sunburn is literally what the name means it feels like you got burnt, the skin feels dry and red and painful and it starts to peel after sometime. But tanning is just the darkening of skin due to exposure to sunlight
