- Hawaii Five-O S8 E 22, McGarrett rescued the child from kidnappers. And he drive his car v.s. airplane chase....It's very good-watching.
Steve McGarrett (Jack Lord) , Danny Williams (Danno), Chin-Ho.......
Oh my God I always feel nostalgic everytime I watch the opening scene...takes me back to my childhood.
I watched this episode on CBS when I was a little kid. As a kid who loved cops, when I saw HPD SWAT take down that plane my respect for them after that knew no bounds. When I saw the Coast Guard rescue that child my respect for the USCG also knew no bounds. God, I loved growing up in the 70's when cops on TV were depicted as heroes!
Because cops are heroes. I wish I lived in the 70s.
Yea
+@@westonkenyonmusic Now they are just thugs.
@@MysteryMachine--yh1fz Go put your life on the line for people who hate you and a lousy paycheck.
🤔
I used to watch Hawaii five O when I was a kid and I still loved it.
I have been in love with Jack Lord since I was 8 years old and I'll soon be 60 and I still love the man dearly he was so wonderful and such a great actor and versatile
I liked the ending where the tactical squad opens fire. Given today's environment, not sure that would happen.
Only on TV can you get away with blowing up a Jet from a Propeller Twin. Gosh I loved this show. Effects not withstanding.
Love Hawaii Five-O it's my favorite TV show in the whole world ❤️ love ❤️ it
I remember seeing every single episode of Hawaii 5 0.
This episode aired in 1975 - 1976.

As a licensed pilot, even if uttering my last sentence, I think I would have broadcast the aircraft's call sign as "One-one-three-four-hotel," using the phonetic alphabet, as all pilots are taught early in their flight training. Chin got it right.
Gosh, I missed the switcheroo from the turboprop to the jet plane. Shame on me. And kudos to the eagle eyes who caught that screw-up.
Despite the quibbles, this was a thoroughly enjoyable climactic scene, with lots of drama, action, and tension. I love it when the good guys defeat the bad guys and save the victim.
Your comment is absurd. The pilot was dying...
My FIRST car when I had my drivers licence in 1983 was EXACTLY a 1974 Marquis like this one from My Father, except it was royal blue int/ext, with a 460 four barrel, a very powerful car considering his 4490 pounds, I loved this indestructible car, IF I see one to sell, I'll purchase for sure :)
Damn! What a scene. New Hawaii 5/0 was a joke. Like modern American cars.
One of my favorite Hawaii-5/0 episodes with the Japanese Red Army terrorist. Capsule Kidnapping.
Got to love how much that boxy 74' Mercury Marquis rocks and swerves from side to side
3:35. If that's not the embryo form of CGI, I don't know what it is.
Always liked McGarrett’s Park Lane better than the Marquis, but both are great cars!
Justin Joseph :thanks!
Yeah, the Marquis was quite large.
Justin Joseph I agree the Park Lane was a great car and much faster with a high compression engine and better handling compared to the pollution controlled low compression heavy Marquis.
@@lenblack1462 Probably about the same length as a '75 - '79 Cordoba.
Still so much better than the new version.
Why did the propeller plane turn into a jet?
@4:06 -- Note that the theme song was recorded with high fidelity.
However, that recording was somehow compressed, sound wise, and is the one that we hear from the show.
If you find a copy of the song, before they butchered the sound quality, you will be in for a treat. You get to hear Morton Stevens' creation, played by a first rate CBS Orchestra.
The initial capture, multi-track master tapes sound fantastic. They have dynamics, energy, and a 3-dimensional sound-field. You can feel the presentation in your bones. You can hear the texture of the brass instruments. And it does not sound enhanced or phony. It simply sounds like a real orchestra playing their hearts out.
Alas, it is next to impossible to obtain such a copy. It must be buried in someone's basement, or simply in the hands of someone that is selfish, and wants to feel special having the best sounding copy of that amazing theme song.
I'm so sorry. I live in Taiwan. In here, belong to region 3.
My friend bought the DVD of Hawaii Five-O from U.S.A. There were not to buy in here.
When she come back , and I changed my DVD machine, let me could watch them.
If I have free time, I'll upload more about season 8.
Thanks you like Hawaii Five-O.
"The Capsule Kidnapping"
Future "Scarecrow & Mrs. King" co-star Bruce Boxleitner was a guest star in this episode.
Great show
Pure awesomeness 🤙🏻
I wrote these lyrics when I watched my favorite show,
while I was in high school, and years afterward.
Jack Lord was the BEST. He was the reason I watched the series.
Hawaii
1.) Mystic land of Hawaii
Mystic land of Hawaii
Blue seas in Hawaii
Blue skies above
Land where all your sorrows and fears
disappear throughout the years
in Hawaii, magic land of love, of love.
2.) Wind sings of Hawaii
Happiness of love
Wind sings of Hawaii
Blue skies above
Wind that is so soft and sweet
Now you get the chance to meet
in Hawaii, Hawaii’s song
3.) If you and a friend now
get an early start
then come to Hawaii
land with a heart
You’ll find you’re loved here all along
You’ll be singing this magic song
in Hawaii, Hawaii Five-O,
Hawaii Five-O.
It's a S8 E22 and it's very good-watching.
If you like this vedio, you could buy DVD of Hawaii Five-O.
Thanks.
L'explosion de l'avion, oh le trucage à deux balles de l'époque, je suis mort de rire.
Je sais, mais j'ai vu pire dans un autre épisode...🤷😂
I noticed the name George M. Kennedy in the guest cast. He is the same one as the veteran actor many of us remember.
That plane explosion was embarrassingly bad.
And where do you suppose all the stray bullets from the dozens of shots ended up? At least a few attorneys are going to back up the money truck to HPD.
I agree. A totally different airplane exploded.
@@scvandy3129 Um - you do realize that this is all fiction, i hope...
Yes, very LOL.....reminds me of the helicopter explosion at the end of Death is a Company Policy...maybe this one was taken from that :)
this was from the 1970s, what do you expect?
the reboot remade or ripped off (depends on how you want to look at it) this scene with McGarrets Camaro skidding to a stop in front of a jet ready to take off on a runway
You're welcome!
Thanks you like it~
0:59 123.1 mhz Honolulu Police band ... just hope this transceiver can also go in FM mode since the plane frequencies (even if in VHF band) are in AM mode .
:)
That is right. Crime is crime everywhere in the world!
Criminals betray one another during the process and NOBODY is safe in their hands.
"What is our next target country?" they think.
"And who are the fools in this country that trust you by now?" we think.
D plane! D PLANE!
My uncle Dan Taba acted as the Japanese executive whose son was kidnapped in this episode. If there’s anyone who has footage of him in this episode please upload. Thank you.
So fake! But great classic show. 😀
Dr. Tolvar impressed me as a brilliant man with a vision of researching/building an underwater city. However he was a co-conspirator as to the kidnapping, murder of the houseboy, and ransom demands. Then he began to have doubts pleading with Paul to "call the whole plan off" It's gone too far" I don't know if we can trust Asuko. His instincts were "right on target" she had a confederate Shigemi, she shot Paul after he made the pick up from Sand Island, made her escape. Head to the airport, Tolvar has the planned ready, dialed in the HPD frequency on the plane's radio. Asuko and Shigemi board the plane, discovers Paul missing, and learns the truth, they not telling the police where the boy is. "Under Boey 1134H ...... In the end, he did the right thing and saved the boy's life.
They blew up the plane BEFORE the boy was known to be safe.
🤔
Why did they kill them? You can't kill anyone who doesn't pose an immediate danger as a policeman.
True...

Boy, the plane blowing up was very poorly done, even for the 60s 😅
Yeah.
Ma série que jadore
The show always was silly but when a jet explodes when they're shooting at a prop twin it becomes a comedy ... pathetic.
Yes, but I've seen worse in the same show.🫤
