Luckily, no one, but the same could not be said about 475. "My aching smokebox," she groaned. "I'm sorry," said the crane. "I didn't know you were coming onto this siding." "I wasn't supposed to! The point was incorrectly switched," she snapped. "Tell me. Why were you sitting on this siding?" The voice did not come from 475. It came from the fat director, who was red in the face, and most upset. The crane was silent for a moment. "I'm sorry, sir," he replied at last. "My controller wanted me to park here. I told him that it might not be a good idea, but he told me I was too worried. I...fell asleep...to calm my nerves. I didn't realize the point was changed." The fat director heaved a slow, frustrated sigh. "I see. You should be more attentive in the future. As for your controller, I will have a word with him later. As for you, 475," he said, turning to the hurt engine, "you must be sent to the workshop for repairs at once. I will make sure of it that you are given the utmost care to run by next week." "Yes...sir," said 475, wearily. The fat director walked toward her cab, and eyed her crew, sternly. "This was an accident, that's obvious, but that doesn't mean only one side is at fault. Do tell, did you bother to see if the point was changed?" "No sir," said the fireman. "We assumed the point was already changed." "You're both experienced in operating this railroad, and you should know by now that assumptions can lead to consequences like this," the fat director stated. "Be VERY grateful that this did not result in a worse accident! People could have been hurt today, but we are very fortunate that 475 was traveling slowly. We will discuss this in much more detail later, as there is much work to be done," he finished.
Welp. She’s back in service again! The damage looks worse on video, but only a part of the boiler was damaged. Had the whole crown sheet and everything been punctured, the accident would have been fatal. A perfect reason why OCD is a benefit when it comes to railroading.
The crown sheet is at the very rear of the locomotive next to the cab. The part that got damaged was the smoke box cover and chimney flue in the very front. The only thing that was going through there was hot exhaust gasses and cylinder steam going to and from the cylinders but not any of the controls that guide that steam from the boiler. No worries just a wounded face and a big embarrassment. Would be interesting to know if it was an NS ROW crew member that locked the switch the wrong way?
I knew it that someone would make this Thomas related. Then again is anyone going to adapt this accident into a Thomas fanfic? Similar to how Awdry based his stories on real events?
I do have a feeling that if this was a Thomas episode, 475 would be running backward and the tender would of gotten damaged, as, the faces are where the smokebox door should be soooooo…. 475 would be dead.
And this kids, is why you watch your switch targets, red is bad, but green generally means good, and maybe take a look at where your switch points are actually pointed!! Somebody screwed up and will pay the price, glad nobody was hurt and Equipment can be fixed, mistakes were made, and it happens! Everybody lives nobody hurt so I would say it's not the end of the world LOL oh yeah I am now a retired Railroader, kind of know what I'm talking about!

That was really good!
Bravo!
Thanks a bunch! I really enjoyed typing this one. 🎩👌🏻
I just realized I forgot to put "was hurt" in the beginning after "no one". Ah, well!
Very good, very funny
Sorry to burst your bubble, but that sort of accident would have killed the train.
And in typical Thomas fashion, "Luckily, no one was hurt."
Except for 475 my dear children who was pronounced dead at the scene
MUSIC "Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one, R.I.P 475!
What’s even funnier is that this locomotive actually appears in “Thomas and the Magic Railroad”.
how D10 simply killed this engine, get a construction machine
Diesel 10:
Alright Sploge here is the plan:
Step 1: Excavator.
Step 2: …
Step 3: Profit!
Imagine if Rainbow Sun was the lost engine and not Lady
@@LardManAnimation that would have been actually cool to see 475 in Gauge one…
@@JC_Productions yup
this would be a scary episode think a LIVING loco getting there face blown open lol
Just don’t think about it too hard and you’ll be fine. :D
The engine would be dead
@@Gameboy_1992 are you nuts. That’s sodor fallout’s Toby nutshell
@@matthewselby4524 Do *NOT* bring that up.
Well then 475 would be hit in the nose
Moral of this episode: Don't let Hammond behind the controls of 475.
HAMMOND!!!
YOU JUST CRASHED INTO MY SPORTS EXCAVATOR!!!
XD
More Zanny Buster from I Love Toy Trains.
Hammond!!!!
The rails were slippery. 475 could not stop in time!
STOP, STOP! screamed a passenger.
but it was too late.
*INSERT CRASHING NOISES*
0:04 HORRORS! Cried 475 and shut his eyes
I can hear Ringo Starr now
Jane The Excavator Just Impales Angela The N&W 475 In The Smokebox. Note It's Like A Stanger Things And A Sodor Fallout Episode But With Trains.
I gotta download this before Virtual Railfan issues a copyright claim lol
👀!
Not the guy yelling "STOP!" mere seconds before impact as if 475 could possibly stop in that miniscule amount of time

His boiler was aching in pain!

This would make a perfect Thomas episode
Sodor fallout in a nutshell
If you think about it….
…yeah.
Lol. "Disaster lay ahead." "Help help, I'm going to crash"! Boom! Dun dun tun dun da tun dun
Sir Topham Hatt was surely cross with the MOV worker that left the points locked in the wrong direction.
HORROR cried 475 and there was loud CRACK he had crashed into a bucket loader and his face was far back into his firebox
Cinders and ashes!
Well bust my buffers!!!!!!!
That was a punch in the nose!!!!!!!
Punch in the face
luckily no one was hurt exept 475.
the crane arm had been jammed into 475's face and it was "INNAPROPIATE FOR KIDS"
Poor train
Imagine getting impaled in the face by a escavator and last THING you hear was:NOOOOOOO
475 tried to stop, but it was too late!
0:05 Look out!! Shouted the Excavater. But it was too late.
*Cue “Luckily no one was hurt.” Followed by Sir Topham’s theme*
I knew it that someone would make this Thomas related. Then again is anyone going to adapt this accident into a Thomas fanfic? Similar to how Awdry based his stories on real events?
Awdry Aways use real events as basis .. soon this would be recreated too in the show. like the last time a Locomotive and steam roller had Crash
Four Seventy-Five wasn't hurt, but Sir Topham Hatt was most annoyed.
confusion and Delay Rant
And luckily no one was hurt
Luckily, nobody was hurt. Except 475, she fucking died.

Remember Bunny. Remember
Another reason besides more why the original Thomas show must continue again
likely no one was hurt but the engine face is damage
Yes
