I know this took a hot minute but I hope it was worth the wait, even if it's not fully colored, just think of it as a storyboard. I had soooooo much fun doing this and it was definitely therapeutic for me so I really hope this makes someone's day.
Animatic context: This takes place at the end of Sonic Unleashed, after Sonic has saved the world. A cutscene ( • Sonic Unleashed Ending... ) where Amy and Prof. Pickle were talking about getting things ready for Sonic's coming home party is what inspired me to make this, but also the instance in Shamar where you had the option to say yes to a date with Amy ( • Sonic Unleashed (PS3) ... . This is how it went 😃

@@montystudios2991 How is Amy not in character? She would ask for a small date like this of simply going out for a chili dog. Plus you saw her swooning over her hero while they were dancing. Every part of her core character was shown on display. Her love for adventure, her kindness towards others, and her affection towards Sonic.
My god, my inner Sonamy fan had to squeal and be unleashed for a minute (see what I did there?). Sonic was SO DAMN CHARMING!!

I think should say this, because I used to be a pretty big sonamy fan, when I was younger, but now I'm starting to like Sonally a bit more and I'm starting to hate seeing forced ralationships on Sonic, but this video, I can actually see it happen, because it's clear to me that Sonic may not like Amy the same way she likes him, but that doesn't mean that he'll always be against hanging out with her every once in a while. Life taught me that, if a girl likes you, you should try your best to make sure she doesn't change her mind, even if you're not interested in her, yet, because you'll regret it for the rest of your life, when she finds someone else, who wasn't as shy as you. Sonic is friends with her for a reason, but I think he knows that they're both not ready for real love, yet, because they're both too young and, as long as Eggman makes his evil plans, the world will never be save, so maybe Sonic is just waiting for the right moment to reveal his true feelings, after the world becomes a real save place.
@Kamil Kam They aren't friends for no reason. Based on games, stories and videos he saved her from a robot as kids that's why she adores him and how they are very good friends. I'm a sonamy shipper but I see your point though.
@@antisarmusa6117 I am still into Sonamy, just not as much as I used to be, because, I guess, adulthood changes people, or at least that's how I see it now. If Sally was canon, I don't think Sonic would fall for her immediately, but it would take some time and I don't think he would forget about Amy, because she is one of his best friends, so he would, probably, try his best to make sure that both girls are/will be happy before he makes his decision. Love is that one thing, which Sonic, definitely, shouldn't rush, because he might regret it in the end.

If I recall, in the Archie comics and the IDW or whatever you call those comics, Amy is still head over heels for him but she gives him a lot more space that previous canons. She still tackle hugs him Everytime cause it's Amy but hey, progress! I think. Idk, I could be reaching.

I love this video way too much, and I also love how Sonic knows a lot more dancing styles than breakdancing (which he’s known for). I do love those Tails and Sonic Pals Easter Eggs put into the video and I do believe that they won’t be the last
Thank you! I wanted to put a little break dancing in there but felt it didn't fit the flow of the song. Sonic traveled all around the world, I'd imagine he may have seen a couple of different dancing styles while doing so lol.

Ik it's just an animatic but that doesn't change the amount of motion and movement you can see in it! The music is honestly one of my Unleashed Favorites.
I was full on dancing along with it, even in my (currently) limited space.
The heart of Sonic is still there. He has his attitude and even threw in a few modern touches to a more traditional looking dance sequence. It was just, chef's kiss! Incredible!
I can't wait!

BTW, just a little suggestion, I think what you did here would also be great if you used SHOW TIME from Rhythm Theif and the Emperor's Treasure and the story would be Sonic trying to impress Amy with a little show and dance.
