Mom.. Can i go ride my bike?
Sure hun..
Never comes back
… actually took moms bike
Underated comment.
Hahahahahaha
😂😂
Just like my dad. Never came back
she's got a really nice voice to listen to
Indeed!
Mhm
I was thinking the exact same thing....
My ASMR is tingling
Sounds oddly like my sister
"I don't need to sleep that much."
Ma'm, you don't know how many people want that superpower.
It is YOUTH xD
I have that superpower, it’s called “Insomnia”, and I do bike touring as well and hardly sleep after 100 km ride.
i used to sleep a lot back when i wasnt physically active, you naturally get this power the more you use your body
@@skylightdown1 that's so true 👆
I used to be able to do that, I mean I still can but it’s very painful for me. Wore myself down quick after a few years.
She sounds genuine and honest, she does cycling for the sake of it, not bc she wants to show off. Respect.
Why would someone show off. Its pure hardwork and your heart must be in it.
Do you really think that most of cyclist do cycling for the sake of showing off? Gosh...
She was very proud of how she beat that other guy in the final hours of the transamerica race. Deservedly so! 🚵♀️🏆
@@satrioesar7151 yes. a lot of people on strava do things to show off
Bayo106 agreed
With all that time on the bike, she probably doesn't have any time to exercise.
RBastien Or a job.

tubesockets120v I don't know if you've noticed but that's not a bike for the homeless -_-
That's how I am my job is extremely physical and tiring but I still want to lift 3 days a week lol.
😂😂
Cool the Forest Gump of cycling.
Was about to make the same comment.
LOL
Bit rude... ;)
@@tamsynroberts4860 not at all
if we calculate 20,000 miles by 365 days, it would be 54 miles... so she rides 54 miles everyday for a whole year
that's insane
A guy made 14.300 miles in 97 days for a record, he started in Alaska, US, and ended in Ushuaia, Argentina.
I just started cycling 5 months and done 1250 km.one month ! I came 12657 In the world ! Number 1 had done 8000 km that month
Google my cycling friend Steve Abraham.
What he did was truly mind-blowing.
200 miles (320km) a day, every day, for a year.
It's tough riding that daily distance without getting ill.
This video is old. She did 86 thousand miles in a year. 100,000 miles in 423 days.
@@KandiKlover Wrong person. You are thinking of Amanda Coker.

She was actually SUPER chill and had a great sense of humor glad i watched 👍
Yeah!! What a lovely laughter!!
She doesnt harm anyone, she doesnt pollute much. She is a fine representative of the diversity of human endeavor. A little crazy, yes. Respect.
If you're not crazy, you're not living enough.
If you are great you are a little bit crazy.
@@Firefly-trike yeah I don't get that...
@@Firefly-trike What? They said diversity of human endeavor, how is that not true?
I agree 100%.
Her name SHALL be in the title!
Lael, the first American to win the Trans Am, both Men and Women!
She's so amazing and adorable. I love her laugh.
Not just her biking but she's super cool, like her personality lol
Her legs must be crazy strong.
Karlen Bell If you look at her sitting down, her legs are huge.
Probably not very strong for a cyclist, but she can just keep going.
She's riding up mountains...
She seems to be in unnecessarily tall gear grinding up hills in the video. But what do I know.
But much more impressive is the fatigue-resistance in her leg muscles.
What a low key legend .
Brilliant !
I admire her so much ... i love biking 🚴🏻♀️ I really needed this .... I really needed to see her she’s so strong and beautiful as well ... 😍
I'd definitely say beautiful..
Lil Beauty. Her character adds alot to it for me. I dont even like short haired woman.
Cinnamon is thirsty 💦
That's her without makeup, and still cute than most with makeup.
Great, now I feel insanely out of shape
Dane Reads same
Dane Reads ish I’m a pretty fast runner I mostly do miles
u dont have time to bike 54 miles a day everyday
Too much riding can't be healthy..
Man-Ung Yi yeah specially for the heart
Hardcoooooooore. I’ve never ridden more than 130km in a day and I was knackered 😄 Ultra endurance athletes are mind blowing. Like those men and women that run ultra marathons through the dessert. Crazy stuff!
Mububban23 To reach 20'000 miles per year (32'187 km), you only have to do 88 km every day.
Pete Smyth She also does day jobs. So its not "every day".
my most in a day was 110km but if i was allowed to do more i could do 200
Woah they run through the "dessert", too bad, I would've just eaten the dessert.
@@reddaB Yes, but when you divide it throughout the year you realize it is not that much. Doing 100km every day is something very achievable on a road bike that goes 30-40kmh on avg. That's a 3 hour workout
i use my bicycle for most of the day ...to save planet and get a good health ...people should ride bicycle
love the motorcycle in the profile pic :D
Maximuss I was thinking the same thing haha
@@mxs4193 It's a planet-saving motorcycle.
He uses a cheat code to make it a planet saving motorcycle
Bicycles are made in factories
Really inspiring. I am a past cyclist who became very ill after a sinus surgery and now am starting over. I know that feeling of just wanting to be back on the bike. Whatever I can achieve at this point will be a triumph for me as long as I can be in the beautiful outdoors.
20,000 Miles = 32186.88 KM
Good bot
I don't think you are on the right website
kolomo thats 88KM/day
Or with a normal speed of 22KM/our that takes 4 hours per day every day of the year
Thanks!
Thank you!
She looks like a young Ellen DeGeneres
anton yup haha
100%
YES, I couldn't put my finger on it, but that was it!
Yep and she’s also wearing comfortable shoes.
anton, yeah! I thought there was something familiar to her.
Immediately rode my bike after watching. Thanks for the motivation.
If you love cycling, introverted like me - you can ride forever. Gj for her. I feel like I can ride forever, but I'm stuck in the city.
That's why you need a mountain bike. Just ride one way. Nothing can stop you. No mountain and no river! ;)
I live in a city as well but there are a lot of mountains and rivers nearby... A mountain bike won't disappoint you, you might discover nature gems near your city , as I did when I beat my insecurities and started cycling off my town =)

She's a human inspiration!
Totally off the grid.
I love her!
Respect is what she deserves with that adorable smile and positive attitude!
Back in my road racing days there was a stretch of years where I averaged a little over 15,000 miles per year on the bike, and I thought THAT was a lot! My best was a 17,000 mile year. Hard to imagine another 3,000 tacked on to that!
Lloyd Hlavac that’s still some crazy mileage mate, respect
Can I ask how old are you? Does anyone say you have not ages? Do you do a calorie restrictive diet at least one meal a week? These are the halmarks of not aging vs the rest of the population
@@LK-pc4sq I will soon be 61, but it's been a while since anyone mentioned me not looking my age. I think I look younger than many people around my age, but that could just be my own perception, no necessarily reality. And though I have done intermittent fasting, and even some longer multi-day fasts over the past few years, I don't count calories of what I eat, so I can't really confirm it's calorie restrictive on a regular basis, at least to the extent of it affecting the aging process.
Everytime i feel lazy, she suddenly kept popping in in my head then i can do whatever task i do
Every cyclist is a hero. Helping save the world. One pedal revolution at a time...
it does help but the real people with the power to change the world (the richest and the corporations they control) need to be held accountable.
Most Cyclists own a Car.
Carl Ranger so? every time they ride their bike instead of driving is a choice to not add to the issue (even if it is miniscule)
Amazing. Lael Wilcox looks very happy and content pursuing what she loves. Way to go!
Total respect for this woman!!! Holy moly, that is a lot of mileage, geez she should at least get backed up by Specialized bikes!!!! Hey Specialized!!
Please back up this Special rider, she sure in the heck deserves it!!!!
Great PR for the company for sure!! :-)
Specialized sponsors her.
Snoochies
She deserves that:) good on her:)
This is tempting me to just start doing ultra endurance cycling... I've got all the gear.
The Name I Want you got it!
Do it, also forget everyone else, their records, and other peoples times. It’s bad mentality. Just focus on riding and keep going til you can’t. Ultra endurance is besting yourself and pushing past your limits.
I love this girl! I have the same passion for adventure and for riding my bike. YOU go girl! You are great. Most people sit behind a desk and dream what you are doing. YOU are doing it! More power to you! Go Lael.
Awesome athlete and a great ambassador for cycling! Thanks for inspiring us Lael!
What an amazing woman, unbelievable.
Total respect!! Go girl. X
Yeah I just stay on the bike, that's how I win 😂😂😂❤️
She's pretty and a beast at her profession. Happy to see she's found her calling
Wow what a serious bike rider. She's Awesome !
huh, I did 100 miles in a day last week. I thought i was cool.
Same 🙈 felt amazing until I watched this
1939 Raleigh bike was ridden 100,000 miles in 500 days. The point was the endurance of those bikes was very high. I expect a few new ball bearings and a chain every 100,00 miles and the bike will be going fine now.
For a very short ride like 100 miles, I doubt she could keep up with me. I've done many century rides in 135 minutes. But I'm about speed, I'm very fast and not so much about counting miles. Have done several 1000+ mile rides though and likely in much less time than her. Don't care to ride any further than that, longer races she'd win.
@@haileymatthews1777 there is no need to show off she is proud for how good she is and how far she has come!
Well 100 mile/day is actually cool. U rode more than she did in a day so
I love her voice, it’s so soothing and calming, would love to hear her talk during a long boring bike ride.
The women version of Forest. She is great !

I too am obsessed with cycling. If I could I would cycle everyday on and on, l love it!
Insane, she is averaging 618 km/week or 384 miles/week. Just wow!
deep respect for this lady
This young lady is such an inspiration to me to do one more mile.
This girl is such a sweetheart.
God bless her ❤️❤️❤️
This video pops up in my recommendation sometimes and I keep rewatching it every time.
She's such a cute-looking badass. And I could listen to her talking aaaaall day 😍
When I was 10 I rode 1,378 miles in 3 years and I thought that was monumental.
Still more miles than a majority of able-bodied albeit lazy bike-owners will do.
That is monumental
That means you were ten for three years. Now that's an accomplishment.
Robert Lucas it was monumental! Feel good about it regardless of what other people are doing.
i do understand her love for cycling... I would love to tour my country and then South America, which would take 21.500 miles with days off... 18 months to ride all countries in my continent, including Venezuela, if the situation gets better some day.
She genuinely seems so happy.
Does what she loves, and absolute kills at it.
Good for her!

"Lael Wilcox puts more miles on her bike every year than most people do on their cars"
People are too addicted to the car, is what you're saying.
Bicycle is love, bicycle is life.

SO MUCH YES
Hahah 😂 I love this girl, contagious laugh and such an inspiration!
Such a strong passion that drives her to accomplish all that! Respect!!!

She's amazing!! 😍
Nothing more attractive than a woman that can laugh at herself.
She probably likes girls obviously....
Katie M nothing obvious about that.
@@four-x-trading5606 she is in another video 'I just want to ride' she says she has a girlfriend called Rue
Get yourself down to your local nut house, there's loads of them down there. I knew a girl that laughed hysterically at herself and then set fire to her own elbows.
did you tell her to, 'Stop, drop, and roll"?
Finally found someone to look up to in the world of cycling. Respect!
I'm always impressed by people who are really good at what they do, and totally dedicated to it.
Awesome. Didn't know humans could do that. WOW think about the efficiency, the food to gas price ratio.
People call things crazy that is beyond their IQ level to understand. You are doing amazing
This is the reason why i want a Gravel/CX Bike.
It won't broke no matter how far you pedal.
That's some serious pedalling. What an inspiration.
Wow, that is very light, she carries almost no gear at all, and just a single multitool for all the bike problems she might encounter?
I'd like to know more about how she manages the technical side of things.
If your bike is in good shape before you go on a long adventure, you will rarely have any other problems. You should know how to fix anything on a bike before you attempt to do longer rides.
PFULMTL, what you say makes sense.
The minimum I know is how to patch a flat tire, which requires a patch and some levers. I didn't see that in her kit, which is what surprised me. Getting a puncture is not uncommon, yet she doesn't seem to have the gear for that.
The bike doesn't have a dynamo or a battery-powered light. Is it reasonable to assume that one will only ride during the day? I'd say that is pretty risky.
support cars.
you need LEVERS? haha eat some broccolli loser
its alaska, aint nobody there
Amazing! I really don't think a bike race should be about teams.....just the individual!
Loved watching this! Awesome pedalling!
Holy crap that’s amazing what a fantastic human being!! Thank you for sharing this video.
She deserves all the appreciations. It is not her fitness or equipments that make her a champion. Its her mind and focus. She is no lesser than a competitive body builder in value!
Riding 20k miles is a huge accomplishment. I'm only averaging between 3-4k a year. But I have to wonder. How the heck does she getting funds to do this? With 2 kids, full time job, I have to make time to bike. And I wish I had much more time. She travels the world, cycling in races, and we have no idea how she pays for this.
Also, I like her 1x40t setup. I'm wondering if I should do this with my road bike and not have to worry about the FD anymore.
There is no entry fee for the Tour Divide. So, you really just have to get to the starting line with whatever bike you've got. Win that, and you get sponsorships. Then, you get to travel to other races sponsored.
I’d love to meet her. What an insane hero.
insane...and inspiring...you go girl...do what you love and do what you do best 🤗🤗🤗
I love her so much I also really love biking as well. Especially super long bike rides I'd love a biking partner! I wish that I can be just like her just bike all over the world and enjoy life more!
no sleep is so dangerous. much respect.
I think she only does that during the races, not all the time. A few days / weeks a year is not going to hurt you in the long run.
Respect to her 🚲💪🏻 unbelievable distances
Amazing , unbelievable ... even Goggins would be impressed ... she’s way past the 40% rule ...respect ✊👍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I wonder how she'd do in a UCI road race of less distance, like 120 km, for example. Ultra endurance 'racing' seems more a test of mental fortitude and extremism than what we know as conventional racing.
what a champion
I'm a bike rider begginer but yep I start to de that way.. Every morning I just want to go for a quick ride.. It's really good for my health, stress etc. Amazing
I’ve got the summer off this year, and I’m inspired to do around Britain coast, think the idea of spend days in the saddle sounds wonderful, long my you continue and win races, but I’ll stick to Britain 🇬🇧
Peanut Butter and hardcore biking make for some incredible thighs.
Tell me more...how much biking? How much peanut butter? Etc....
I’ve wanted to do something like this for awhile, not for any competition or anything though. However, I’ve always been worried about the monetary and safety aspect.
I wonder if she carries some mace or a firearm of some sort.
Has anyone else rode long distances like her? If so, what is your advice for attempting a ride like this?
Preston Owens don't go alone, especially if you're a noobie.
its like riding a bike, just do it!
i love how calm she is, seems the case for a lot of endurance athletes

Sponsorships?
And as long as you are not married or have childrens.
