I'm John's wife, and I'm so happy you were able to set this up with Jeremy. For those not local, Two Rivers is an amazing place. All their beers are named after people from local history (mostly during prohibition). They also do lots of Charity beers. It's definitely a one of a kind place. You did an awesome job, Greg!

There is a popular roasted red pepper sauce (gastrique) in Europe called "Pinjur" It is GREAT on burgers and scrambled eggs. I get it at "Big Lots" which carries a lot of unusual foods from Europe. I can imagine it is very similar to the sauce you made in this video. If you want to add little heat (Pinjur is not hot & spicy) I add a little spice from Russia/Ukraine/Caucasus region called "Adjika", which is VERY spicy. You can find that at European grocery stores.
Great video! I am going to try this one.

First place I ever had PB on a burger, around 20+ years ago at a spot in old town Sacramento. It’s a bar called Fanny Ann’s with a little food stall in the very back of the bar. To this day, still the best burger I’ve eat eaten. Unseasoned Curley fries that you get to dip in the peanut butter that drips out of the burger. Amazing. Great video

Great video, thanks for sharing. I often visit a nearby brewery that serves a peanut butter bacon burger, so I've been a fan for a while, and your video inspired me to come up with something very similar. I make a double smash burger (two 2 1/2 oz portions of ground beef). I made my own recipe of pickled red onions (which is always a good addition to other efforts) and it keeps well in the fridge too. I also have a favorite bbq sauce that I enjoy way more than ketchup on most anything (also holds up well in the fridge). I gave up trying to find peanut brittle, but will keep an eye out for it. I layered my smash burger in basically the same order you used, and it was really great. I think the peanut butter (not a lot), the pickled red onions & a favorite sauce makes a killer smash burger. Thanks for the ideas. I wish I lived closer to Two Rivers to try out their burger, it looks great. Good job.

I love love love peanut butter burgers! I first heard about it 6 or 7 years ago, tried it and loved it so much. Unfortunately, in Brazil where I live, people don't like PB so much (cultural thing?) and every time I try to convince a friend to try it, they look at me like I have a dead chicken on my head. Last time I cooked burgers for everyone I sneaked it on there and it was a big hit! But I'm always worried about someone having a peanut allergy, so I can't do that too much. Loved the recipe John. Peanut butter in a pan, a little bit of water and a few spoons bit of soja saus. Stir while slowly heating. Add some sambal to add some heat and there you have a delicious sauce for fried fries, hamburgers or sausages.

Whooah. I wii try this one. And I learned something today: I never thought of using PB with meat - that´s a bit strange considering that I´m cooking Asian/North African and Middle Eastern styles very often.
