  • Augsburg is the third-largest city in the state of Bavaria in Germany. This beautiful and historic city which boasts some stunning examples of renaissance architecture, was founded in 15 BC by the Roman Emperor Augustus, making it one of Germany’s oldest cities. The old town centre is charming and the many canals and bridges throughout add to Augsburg’s appeal. They call to mind a time when water was used to power the machines of local businesses and a prospering textile industry made Augsburg a thriving centre. This very special city is also well known as the home of Jakob Fugger, one of the richest merchants of the 15th century. It is the birthplace of Bertolt Brecht and Leopold Mozart, the father of the composer. Today, Augsburg is a thriving city of comfortable size with so much to offer in terms of recreation, culture and amenities. The numerous sport clubs offer a wide variety of individual and team sports as diverse as ice-hockey and football, gymnastics, white water rafting, water skiing and wakeboarding. Nature lovers will love the city’s proximity to forests and rivers and the many opportunities this city provides for enjoying the great outdoors.
Because Augsburg is so very close to Munich and has so much to offer, more and more people are choosing to live there and commute to and from Munich which is just over 30 minutes away.
With a new three lane highway, connecting Augsburg to Munich and Ulm, it is not surprising, that Augsburg is also home to a number of international companies. The International School, located in Gersthofen, just outside of Augsburg, is a key factor for internationally-mobile families re-locating to the Munich area. The school, which is known for its exceptionally welcoming culture, is a fully accredited International Baccalaureate school offering both the Primary Years Programme and the IB Diploma. The school has an excellent academic track record and is is also known locally for its commitment to the visual and performing arts as well as its lively sports programe. At ISA, students are supported and challenged to do their very best. The school’s commitment to language learning is notable, not only for the intensive support provided for those new to speaking English, but also for the remarkable range of mother tongue support lessons on offer.
International School Augsburg, is characterized by a wonderful combination of professionalism, creativity and academic rigor and is rapidly becoming the school of choice in the greater Munich area.

Which is known for it's "lively" sports programme (kid with ball serving a volleyball while standing still)
Woah! I almost felt the energy of that one slow down kid - you might have a heart attack!
I think maybe you should have picked a better sport to go with that statement maybe basketball, hockey or football: anything that involves moving more.
It felt like I was almost watching a depressed teenager non nonchalantly hitting a ball with how slow this was presented "lively" is not a word I would use with these visuals.
