Don't cut yourself short.your skills are next level amazing.
Just cut the cab short!😆
Most self-deprecating man on CZcams, roll with it 👍
@@amcpacer2256 He knows how good he is, all part of the show . . . we wish we were as good
If it looks like factory, clean and simple it took three times as long as my neighbor used to say. Looks Awesome Kyle!
Wise words from your neighbor, I'll have to remember that! Thanks Stephen!
Betwixt the valley of shame and mountain of sorrow, is the subscribers of happiness. Great work.
Brent is the reason I found your channel. Lots of fun watching you work.
The amount of forethought and work you're putting into getting the lines on this cab just right is the reason this channel is Carter Auto Restyling and not Carter Auto Mindless Hackery. So many builds sound good on paper but end up a disjointed pile of parts in reality. Getting everything to flow together and look right as a whole is the real artform!
Thank you Tom!
As a Canadian, I enjoy the sarcasm, and the fabrication
What a great way to spend a snowing Saturday. Later CWM. Outstanding Cheers ❤☃️🇺🇸👍✌️
You should not apologize for anything!!!!!!!!!!I Myself and many others are amazed at your talent and your willingness to share your thought process and talent. It is not a race to see who gets the most done. Don't stop being who you are.
Kyle, you totally sell yourself short on skill and talent level... you are an extremely talented fabricator / bodyman. I'm so glad I found this channel. Impressive for sure!
This will be great when you have it finished.
I have no idea why I like Canadian bild a car shows but I also enjoy Halfass Customs. Probably the lack of commercials. Very different approaches. Halfass is sort of just that - lots of emphasis on design and problem solving, not much on quality metal finishing. Your channel - lots of emphasis on high quality metal and body work. He has dogs, you have cats. Good thing is that you both build to suit yourself. Keep doing what you do so well.
Mountains of sorrow and valleys of shame Kyle those words will stay fused in my brain. I have scaled mountains of shame and plummeted into valleys of sorrow. I’m very much enjoying this chicken truck endeavor.
Snatching victory out of the jaws of defeat!
Nice work Kyle pls keep at it it is looking Kool!!!!!
I’m confident that you will indeed navigate through the valley of shame, over the mountains of despair and across the plain of darkness and find yourself in the land of the light 😅
No no no land of light for Kyle, one has to keep the artist suffering, it is the only motivation he responds to!.
Awesome Cuts and Welds Man.
Love the progress can't wait for the next video
Well as my grandpa used to say "nothing worth while ever comes easy ". Looking good!
One of the best chops I have seen on a 47 thru 55 Chevy GMC! You have skills!
Wow, thanks!
Glad to see that you fixed the problems by fixing the problems as apposed to covering up the problems and hiding them. It is looking like it was meant to be. Well done, Cheers
"Too much thinking and nothing gets done." - Kyle Carter
Thanks again, Scott (Cold War Motors). Kyle is a wizard. :)
I have watched every one of your videos and am extremely impressed with your work. Can't wait for the next one. I'm gathering as much information as I can for my own chop of a 31 ford 2 door sedan.
I will know exactly when its done, not a second sooner.... great stuff Kyle
If you ever need a resume to showcase your abilities and talents, this video series will do the trick. 👍
Thanks Kyle for another excellent video with nice music, the roof is coming together great. 👍
Amazing skills a real pleasure to watch your problem solving.
I can't believe how you were able to dissect that roof!!! Simply amazing, no, complexly amazing!
You’re the smart ass that always finished the geometry test first and received the highest score. I knew that I recognized you from somewhere. Damn! 😁👍
Haha I was a total failure at math and geometry! It's all precision guess work!
That look awesome! It's really fun watching you stitch this thing together
cant wait to see more of your adventure with the chicken truck. Looking great
Most of the chops I've ever seen end at about this stage and sit tacked together at funky angles in the driveway collecting tears. That is until some Craigslist hacksall comes along who has a large enough stockpile of yard sale bondo to sculpt the valley of shame into a mountain of flip it sorrow for the next sucker.
I appreciate that you are going through the steps of explaining how this type of project takes a lot more than a sawzall and a few beers.
Your comment INSTANTLY reminds me of a old friend who attempted to do a chop on a 49 Merc. All "gas" welded !! It had all of those "mountain" shapes that Kyle referred to and sat in his back yard until he sold it to someone who was going to finish it. Man, WAS IT UGLY !!! Don't know where/how it ended up !! ;o)
The guitar music is fabulous. Really adds to the overall vibe. Thanks
When you lifted the rear roof section off it made me think it would look great as an open car with a lift off roof. You're now an elite auto customizer when you use Cleco fasteners. I may be 40 years your senior and enjoy learning from watching your videos. Happy 2024. Don't forget to include your cat cameo cuts.
Again, your choice of music is very good. When I come back in my next life, I want to be a metal fabricator. I'm not into chopping tops, but this project is fascinating. Great job.
Excellent work kile cheers from the UK 🇬🇧
For someone who doesn't know what he is doing, damn nice work!!!!!🏁🏁🏁🏁
This video was a great inspiration ... I do have a lot more respect for your work now that you have clecos ... lookin good ... anticipating the next video ...
Just one for the algorithm this time. Best wishes for 2024.
Such a thorough chop process. Actually removing inner & outer structures to do it right. Though more time-consuming, in the long run, less screwing around with misalignment of panels. Unlike all the "hot rod TV", shows wacking & stacking welds to fit it in the time allotted. All brought to you by dupont, ppg, vicks dayquil, & nyquil products & any number of pharmaceutical sponsors
Haha dang I was hoping to sell out and get some pharmaceutical sponsors for the next video!
@@CarterAutoRestyling better hurry. I have a feeling they’ll need that money for bail in January 2025
I'd love try this... have a vision of welding my fingers to the frame and yelling and screaming alot. Might make for entertaining video.
I really appreciate the way you think you think and logically work your way through a job. You are flexible and adapt as work flows. This is a master class in chopping an AD truck that could become a standard. The explanations are always educational with great details. Well done with the how and why then fast forwarding were it could be tedious. Thank you.
I don't care what they say Kyle. You are the man. You create the perfect storm and then the sun comes out and it all comes together.
What I loved about this video is how you take the time to explain what is happening, how you are thinking about it and how you move forward. Thanks Kyle.
I love watching you, I spent 35+years doing body work you put me to shame always educational👍
This is a pretty amazing series, Kyle! Quit selling yourself short (But stay humble), and CONGRATS on the recent shoutout from HALFASS KUSTOMS! I Hope that it brings some subscribers in….. this depth of workmanship should be witnessed (there really is a lot of learning disguised as ass hattery)
Keep’em coming, that Chicken Truck won’t finish itself!
A shout out from Brent is a badge of honor... All I evet get from anybody is a SHOUT AT!😲
Waiting to hear one from Tony @ fitzee’s fab, now.
I know Kyle’s mentioned him before…….
That’d be a trifecta of metal shaping all in one shop!
@@glennnickerson8438
I´m impressed how you sort out problems and your eye for solutions! Not many who have your skills, beutiful too watch.
If you ever write a book about your adventures in the wilds of Saskatchewan, I think a good title would be "Valley of shame and mountain of sorrow" I can't wait to see this project completed... (I've made arrangements for my great grandson to give you an "at a boy" in the comment section.) Cheers from the shed
Scott at CWM can write the forward...

@@Joe.Doucette Hey Joe!😎
Hi Glenn. I never saw your roof fly by yet..
@@Joe.Doucette Thanks for looking. First storm of the season coming tonite, willing to share with our friends up north, enjoy!
Just got back from watching this episode on the big screen TV! Man oh man, huge difference, and the roof looks so smooth at this point it’s really coming together nicely, due to your attention to detail! Thank you for sharing and documenting this process Kyle .
For sure !!! When he shows those side profiles, the top shapes sure look consistent and smooth !!! I would be so happy !! The really tough part is once he does the final welding and the metal does it's thing. That planishing, shrinking, and shaping process is so slow and tedious and requires SO MUCH understanding of what the metal wants/needs.
Seriously talented madman hillarious 50 yrs of this crap he makes me smile everytime
Great job, Kyle!
Amazing work. No apologies needed. Don't know anyone who do any better. Learn a lot always from your video's. Thank you.
They say you learn something new everyday- today I learned chopping a top the right way is a tedious time consuming labor of love. I like it.
Loving this project! Thank you as always.
Your skills leave me at a loss for words, yet I feel compelled to leave a comment each and every episode. We all know when this is done, that roof will not require a drop of filler. I’m really enjoying the project, Thank you.
Nice shout out for Bret /
Halfass Kustoms another great channel .I love watching metal workers .
You Halfass + RAC GARAGE + Yorkshire car restoration are some of my favourite channels
Really digging this build. I dig both channels even though they are from different perspectives. I think that Brent must sub-consciously have an innate need to build as many cars as is possible by a human (x 2). He must need to get the build ideas out of his head before they get lost, where as your channel employs more finesse and you've thought things through more and demand more accuracy. I am impressed with your understanding of metal shaping and how you use your smoke and mirrors to bring back panels that look like crinkled alfoil.
Agree completely !! That's exactly how I see the two and very nicely stated !!!
It's looking awesome Kyle! Think about it 3 times, measure 4 times and cut once. That's how it works out best!
Liking your humor, can't wait to see what you do next, cheers from Australia.
That's really looking good Kyle. Also, we love the music you pick.
Hi My Dear Friend Very Very Great Job ❤❤❤❤❤
Nice to see that you've got the Flakes of Chicken under control.
Good job again thanks for the trip.
Your way better than you give yourself credit for. I have been working cars and trucks for over 50 years your work is first class.
Thank you!
You do really good work. So much so you make it look easy. Brent is a great guy.
Looking good thanks for the trigonometry lesson LOL just when I thought I was done going to classes 😊 Great job. p.s nice patina inside the garage
I was watching your video in slow motion as it was intended and wondering how to come up with money for my 53 when you tube sent me an ad that showed me I don't need doctors and medicine anymore because everything I need is growing in my back yard. In the playground of my mind I can pretend that I can do some of the stuff you do but this is so far beyond my skill set that no matter how many brownies I eat I can't pull it off. Thank you for taking the time to make these amazing videos. Joseph and Mary send their love to you and the kids.
You can always count on CZcams ads to tell us what's best for us. Self medication is the way of the future!
Very nice thought process into making something that looks like it belongs that way. I have watched all videos of this build and you sure do make problems disappear. Nice work, Glad to see that Brent from Halfass Customs recognize your talents He is a Great master builder, But you are up on same level of doing work to a proud of when job completed. A++++ videos
You have my respect it looks better than some sliced hack job you see on other trucks thanks 😊
Hey Kyle, looking good! Watching you work and appreciating your skills makes me want to respect you or hate you. I choose hate because I'm a vindictive hack! Just kidding 😅 I'm learning a ton which helps me lessen my awful mistakes creating more work for myself! Thanks!
Roof rear corners sure are a lot of work. I like that your putting the 1/4 lights back in but chopping them down to match, gives it that factory stock look ...with a chop! Cooool
Remembering the fad of "custom this and that shows".... can't compare with a talented guy working in his garage, keeping it real.
Well done, lad, well done.
Your skill and humor are what make the channel great!
Kyle, you are a genius. Thank you.
I like watching/listening to your vids while I work on my stuff. Fitting a set of rings today while you bang and weld.
Geez that’s a lot of work, your attention to detail is amazing. It’s cool watching your build, and Brent at Halfass with his version coming together at the same time.
Oh hey by the way Kyle, one of my other favourites to watch and have learned a few cool tips from, is Rat Rods for Africa. Diff is totally old school “use what you got” kinda builder. If you haven’t seen him, check him out. He’s very laid back, very knowledgeable, and puts out some really good content. Plus he hates his government too so it’s nice to know he’s not another sheeple.... if you know what I mean
Good work. I commented to Brent of what you were doing and he acknowledged you and your channel, you deserve some credit
Great video!
Your metal working skills are top shelf!
Nice work Kyle. If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.
Mr. Carter.... I see that you have a new attire. Very nice.... On a more on topic note.... You are doing a great job on this roof project... To be honest it's way above my abilities.... great job.... you definably do your homework...
Wow you are one of the best tin knockers out there your attention to detail is unmatched. excellent job.
Very informative content, looking forward to the next episode.
Great explanation and tutorial.
Kyle, the metal manipulating marvel
Impressive, Do it right the first time is always better but not the fastest....
Can't wait for the next step....
I am learning something every video. Thank you....
P.S
We wish we had your skills....
Nice work. Kyle !
Looking forward to seeing further developments on this project .
PS . Your work coat is starting to have a Victorian era plumage to it.
Always enjoy watching someone who has talent doing what they love to do.
🤙🤠👍👏👏👏👏
Totally impressed with your thought and skill level shown during this process. Because of my age, I'm learning stuff that I'll probably never use, but enjoying every minute of it. Thank you.
Slow and steady will bring the prize ,, taking shape for a good ride! Like your plug for Brent's channel!
The most important thing in life is challenging yourself. So, my brother, you're doing a great job.
Valley of shame or mountain of sorrow... The story of my life.
Fantastic work, as usual, Kyle.
Yes, Brent is a monster when it comes to turning out vehicles. I wish I had his energy.
But you are more into the precision, which takes more time.
Both good watchin'. :)
Thanks Joe! If I had the choice, I'd trade my precision for speed and energy.
I like this channel, it’s fun, educating ,entertaining, umm yeah and all that good stuff
It just keep going more interesting, keep up the good work!
Excellent Kyle , if ever I was to do a roof chop I would refer to your last few video's. The series has been exceptional. Wishing you a happy New year. ❤
👍🏻 Excellent job!!! It’s nice seeing one be professional about their work. There’s a CZcamsr that doesn’t even measure when he chops a roof and just takes the easy way out
I love your technique... funny but really good work.
What makes a good bodyman Kyle? Humility. I think you're a heck of a bodyman! You have mad skills--I have bad skills!😆
You look so much taller standing next to the Chicken Truck. I’m so glad you’re finally growing up
I like your style. And your work is exceptional Keep it up. Thanks for your videos.
Choice of music is spot on again!
looks fantastic! make a plan but remain flexable, things always change!
Cleco Kyle, the master of metal manipulation strikes again! The geetar soundtrack is perfect. More geetar, please.
Im hear because of Brents shout out about you , And im glad i did , love what you do fella
👍👍👍
Thanks for stopping by!
