  • Hey SDR agent did you know trains transmit signals we can detect and hear them with a software defined radio? In this mission you'll learn to configure SDR++ to receive signals from trains. RF enthusiasts... (That's Railfan and Radio Frequency enthusiast join together in this mission to learn more about each others interests).
Grab you favorite SDR (we will be using the inexpensive RTLSDR for this job). Report back here in the comments what you find. Your info and recon helps everyone here. Thank you.
If you would like to get the bookmark list of the original AAR train frequency list it can be downloaded from the Tuned signal Kofi page.
    ko-fi.com/s/f743a4eaad Thanks for your support!!
Learn how to setup your RTLSDR v3 with SDR++
Download the latest nightly of SDR++ from www.sdrpp.org
Do you suspect secrets or relatively unknown information to be within your reach? Stop, watch, read and listen. If you need to have some sort of discord with like minded people... its right here. Everyone says subscribe subscribe. I say support. Your subscription demonstrates support. It lets me know you want and need more information. It steers the data I provide. It changes the words you see. Its C2.
Based in in SIGINT and Software Defined Radio.. If you have the knowledge or desire to know your help is welcome here.
Whether you have an RTL SDR V3, HackRF, Nooelec, SDRPlay, BladeRF, LimeSDR or any other SDR and radio tools the ... "path" starts and returns here.
I can't give many details of the mission were on, because I frankly don't have them. 76 MHz 433 MHz
I need your help. What I've discovered and need help with is shared here. Use the comments to ask questions or to help and engage others.
If you want to help support the mission and be a part of helping figure this out, you can further support by getting "The Right Tools for the Job" or support via Kofi.

You can get them from these Amazon Affiliate links.
Amazon will give me a commission and I'll be able to get more tools and to continue the mission.
    Thanks for your help.
The Right Tools for the Job
If you are new to the mission.. Start with this SDR.
I have many of these in my tool collection.

Or get the latest version here if it is unavailable (Note the v4 is black unlike the silver one in this video. This unit has some advantages at lower frequencies with minor decrease in signal. I have one also.. it works nicely))
    amzn.to/3GYp05Q
This budget SDR has a great antenna
    amzn.to/3Ms0FJo
Already have an SDR but you want an antenna kit?
    amzn.to/44LfaOd
If you are accomplished or have other "needs", this SDR is very.... helpful.
This is how I usually acquire signals.

If you are seeing noise with your SDR these can help eliminate some types of noise

Thanks for taking the time to comment.
If you have question post them here and we will help.
If you have signals of interest that you think would be helpful to know about, post those here also.

Nice video. SDRAngel has a decoder that allows decoding the end of train telemetry signals.

      I've heard of that.
I focused on vocal coms for safety reasons.
      Be safe out there.

You really want to dig deep. Ha!
What detail are you looking for regarding the inner workings of the software?
      Thanks for tuning in!

When investigating possible missions some don't pan out. This episode was started with a few other ideas simultaneously.
I am quite busy with work and sorry the time scale doesn't meet your expectations.
I also don't want to push for money from supporters if I don't have to.

Hello, sorry you didn't like the music.
I include music running and very low to keep the mood upbeat and engaging. Also with music the videos don't sound like a lecture or news program.
Stay tuned! I hope the content was helpful.
