DIY Geometric Accent Wall Gold and Blue (Just Paint)

I'm in the process of doing a bedroom build at my parents home. The first step was painting the walls. I'm sharing how I painted this geometric accent wall using just paint!

I have seen that "trick" with painting the tape to keep the bleeding from going through and I'm surprised it didn't work. However I have seen a lot more bleeding through when I didn't do that. I think it may have worked out a lot better than you think. That blue looks great btw!

Thank you! I probably should of done a test plot. Half the wall with the trick and the other half without. It’s good to hear maybe it worked much better than I had originally thought.

A tip for you when you want clean crisp lines.apply decorators caulk on your tape line then paint and remove while slightly wet.this gets you the straighter lines on the walls.this tip is great when painting on a textured wall.

I'm doing this in my living room right now! Did you wait 24 hours for the gold to dry before adding the painters tape

Yes, I waited until the gold was completely dry before taping

You're supposed to caulk the edge of the tape so it doesn't bleed through. It's the only way on a textured wall.
